His plan is going to run as the VP. Vance or some other puppet at President.
If the US electorate goes for that all power to them. We elect 3 terms frequently. Big caveat that elections are fair, and that Obama runs as Dem VP (just for giggles)
No, his plan is 100% to run as president for a third term. They're beyond hinting at it too, Steve Bannon has said they have ways to do it. Democracy is America is held together by a pinky promise

And the border, they were vulnerable on both and the while inflation was world wide the border was an own goal. They totally lost the optics war on that one. Thye might’ve gotten away with one of those, but not both.
And racism and misogyny. Many refused to vote for a non-white woman.
Well you know why the Democrats lost? It was basically all down to inflation and the cost of living. This happened to virtually every incumbent facing elections in the western world over the past couple years. To me, there’s no deep soul searching required and not a lot more to it than this. It was a close election, and cost of living was the biggest single factor.
I think the why Cost of Living became a problem is important to look at. Yes there was Covid. But underlying Covid were two other problems. Housing and Energy cost. These are two failures of multiple governments. Not having solutions for housing and energy make a party vulnerable to other inflationary pressures.
So I think the solutions to better positions countries for growth into the future is important rather than just being not the republicans.

Trump threats open 'floodgate' of inquires from U.S. physicians about moving north
Quote:
Renowned Ottawa heart surgeon Marc Ruel was planning a move to the United States last year, with the University of California, San Francisco "thrilled to announce" that he would be leading a heart division in their surgery department.
But Donald Trump's threats toward Canada were such that Ruel has now decided to remain in Canada.
"Canada is under duress right now," he told CBC. "I felt my role and duty at this point was to directly serve my country from within."
Ruel is not the only medical professional now reluctant to work in the United States.
Quote:
"I don't want to do politics, I'm a surgeon, I'm not a politician and I respect every nation's choice to choose their own destiny," he said.
But Trump's imposition of tariffs and threats to annex the the country that's historically been its closest ally has made geopolitics an unavoidable issue.
"I had to most unfortunately change my decision," Ruel said. "I say unfortunately because there were patients there in California, I can tell you, who we're looking forward to having this type of surgery."
Given the broader context, Ruel says staying put was the best decision.
"I'm very happy to be here and to serve, as well as I can, my fellow Canadians," he said.
The US has three equal branches of government. The judiciary can't stop "any" action of the President of the United States, a judge can only stop illegal actions of the President of the United States. Elon can spew these sorts of lies because much of the American public is so uneducated as to what the role of the judiciary is.
I know of a few nurses and doctors moving to the Kootenays from the US. One of which is a specialist who can no longer practise in her specialized field because of abortion laws in the USA.
There are a lot of benefits surrounding their moves.
I don't have access to the article but I'm wondering what the funding is and what it's for? The Harvard endowment is ridiculously huge ($50.7B as of 2023) so I wonder what other funding they say they need.
