It's also terrifying because a) Musk is probably as close as a civilian can actually be to actually being able to privately acquire a nuclear weapon, and b) what happens if he loads one onto a rocket and it blows up sometime between take off and leaving the Earth's atmosphere.

Still hasn’t explained how that would create the necessary electromagnetic field to contain an atmosphere…….

Wouldn't that set off a nuclear winter and not global warming?

Vivian Jenna Wilson on Being Elon Musk’s Estranged Daughter, Protecting Trans Youth and Taking on the Right Online
https://www.teenvogue.com/story/vivi...sk-trans-youth
Quote:
In many ways, Vivian Jenna Wilson is a lot like any other 20-year-old girl. The Los Angeles native spends hours a day on Discord with her friends; loves reading, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Chappell Roan; and she runs late — two full hours late, to be specific, for our scheduled Zoom meeting. Also like many 20-year-olds, she has a complicated relationship with her father. But not everybody’s dad is the richest man in the world — a man who spent the last few years consolidating power, becoming one of the most prolific posters on a social media platform he purchased, and suddenly, one of the most powerful figures in the US government. Wilson is, whether she likes it or not, the daughter of Elon Musk.
Quote:
TV: Are you on good terms with your siblings?

VW: That’s a question. I will say I do not actually know how many siblings I have, if you include half-siblings. That's just a fun fact. It's really good for two truths and a lie. I found out about the Shivon Zilis thing the same time everyone else did. I had no idea before that.

I found out about Grimes having a second child because a drag queen posted about it on Reddit. For a time, me and Grimes were not really in communication because I wasn't in communication with anyone in that family, which still holds true
Quote:
TV: Speaking of some of your family, I feel like right-wingers are actually pretty bad at posting.

VW: They're not funny. You have to be funny. Most of them have the charisma of a soaking bathrobe. I mean, it's not my fault that most of them don't know how to be funny. It's not that hard.
Quote:
TV: Do you ever feel scared? He's the richest man in the world.

VW: He's a pathetic man-child. Why would I feel scared of him? Ohhh, he has so much power. Nah, nah, nah. I don't give a ######. Why should I be scared of this man? Because he's rich? Oh, no, I'm trembling. Ooh, shivering in my boots here. I don't give a ###### how much money anyone has. I don't. I really don't. He owns Twitter. Okay. Congratulations.

People thrive off of fear. I'm not giving anyone that space in my mind. The only thing that gets to live free in my mind are drag queens.

I can only imagine how strong you have to be mentally to not only go through transition at a young age, but to also overcome having a powerful ####### of a father who will pull this #### on you in public.

I think the real answer is most, to different extents. Meaning like the driving automation systems, Tesla isn't using bad tech, they are just cheaping out and either not using enough of it or applying it poorly to speed up manufacturing.

I strongly believe that your BMW is not fall apart because they didn't do the glue right.

BMW can't even build a car with working signal lights.

Woohoo guess we’d better learn Mandarin. Musk is getting access to all the top secret military dirt on China. Not too much conflict of interest. It never ends.

Oh they work, you just need a special interface box, a specific computer and a software subscription to program the 2 computers they have controlling the headlight unit (simple in the German fashion)

Not always the case. Often, it is used to forego the use of welds and rivets, which over an entire vehicle can save a ton of weight. And it has been done for a loooong time. McLaren (first did it in the 90s with the McLaren F1), Aston Martin VH-platform and AMx-platform cars are some examples right off the top of my head, but there are plenty more.

The catch is that when those automakers do it, they do it properly.

Infographics made a good video dunking on Musk. It's a year old so it doesn't include the more recent things.

After a few positive days, TSLA is down sharply again.

Tesla is pretty much a meme stock at this point. It's spike this week was driven by no real reason, it's slide today is driven by no real reason. Business fundamentals do not matter to its performance, it's lying and on drugs CEO doesn't matter, it's just vibes with this stock.

Tesla is riding vibes right now.

The quarterly results call is going to turn it into a bloodbath. Sales have cratered, the secondary market for them has crashed, there are accusations of fraud in Canada, the Cybertruck is a complete flop both in sales and in reliability, insiders are selling stocks, TeslaTakeDown is international and Tesla has become a lightning rod for protests and Elon stepping aside won't stop anything as the company is viewed as the source of his wealth and taking down Tesla is viewed as the means to take down Elon.

Thoughts and prayers to retail investors.

Ya, but they have robotaxis driven by humans coming to Austin soon, so that justifies the valuation. Oh, and robots.

Tesla sales in Europe have decreased by 49 percent in January and February, while overall EV sales have increased by 28 percent. It's glorious.
