XGF was 3.06 for Seattle and 2.61 for the Flames from Natural Stat Trick

nobody had it 4.5-2 in expected goals, that was exageratted

MoneyPuck is often the harshest vs the Flames for whatever reason and they had it 4.29-2.79 Seattle

He's far from perfect, but he gives you moments like tonight.

A mid 1st round pick for that player? I'm good with that.
Yeah he is easily worth that and more on a contender

The pick is a separated deal, just a bad gamble by the wizard. He knew what he did and ran.

As a man on the spectrum that's what I thought watching it live. We do not like eye contact like that. Not at all.

Daccord is an odd goalie. It's not the first time I've seen him give up long before the play has finished. It was either the first Seattle game or maybe preseason this year, but he mailed it in.

And the fact the teams been around for 53 years and this has never happened before seems crazy to me.

No, it doesn't seem that unlikely to have happened already. Monahan scoring OT winners in 2 straight games wouldn't have surprised me considering he had 11 here.

It's not like the record is for 2 games on literal back-to-back nights, just in 2 consecutive games.

Wolf was great but what Flames hating site do you get your stats from? On no planet did Seattle deserve to outscore the Flames by a more than 2:1 margin.
Money puck.

I don't know, I watched the game and I thought Seattle clearly had the better chances overall. They had like 6 breakaways lol.

Be interesting to hear how many times the Flames have been in back to back OT games, where they won both. I am going to say that's maybe 20-30 times in 45 years.

If you post the heat map you a see Seattle took barely any shots from the point they caved the flames in the middle. flames didn’t have us much in the danger areas more point attempts.

Flames had 37 shots and 15 HD chances (NST all situations)...some of you don't know what stealing a game is. See Buffalo vs. the Jets or Vancouver vs. NYR for a stolen game.

Wolf played well none the less and was the better of the two goalies and a big factor in the win.

I saw it on Twitter someone was saying (don't remember who), Squids leading after 2 periods, their record was 16-0-0? Happy we ended their streak.

Nice call by Abbott on the walk off breakaway goal.

If it was Monster Truck you might be calling the coroner.

The team sure is fun to watch right now.
18-14-4 with Cull, 16-11-7 before his call up. Seems consistent

Only 12 other times from my research! 13 total now, and only 10 times in the regular season.

2024-25: NYI (Kadri) + SEA (Kadri)
2023-24: VGS (Weegar) + DAL (Kadri)
2016-17: LA (Brodie) + DET (Backlund)
2015-16: NYR (Brodie) + NSH (Russell)
2014-15: SJ (Monahan) + LA (Wideman)
2013-14: CAR (Butler) + BUF (Stajan)
2009-10: DAL (Iginla) + STL (Phaneuf)
2003-04 Playoffs: VAN (Gelinas) + DET (Nilson), and also DET (Gelinas) + SJ (Montador)
1999-00: TB (Housley) + DAL (Wiemer), and also NSH (Bure) + BOS (Savard)
1997-98: ANA (McCarthy) + SJ (Titov). Just incredible Sandy McCarthy even played in OT, let alone scored!
1988-89 Playoffs: VAN (Otto) + LA (Gilmour)

Edit: Added 2004's playoffs. It's neat the playoff ones were always a series ending OT winner followed by a game 1 OT winner in the next series.
