To play it at launch, obviously.
I don’t have a big list of games on the go, and most of what I play is free. So when a game comes along that I actually want to play, I’m just going to buy it. Waiting 6 months to save $30-40 really isn’t worth it when I’m only playing 2-3 new games per year at most.

Haha in Odyssey my go-to move was to lure the guards onto high places so I could Spartan kick them to their grisly deaths. So much fun.

Sounds like Ubisoft patched out shrine destruction after criticism from Japanese politicians.

Nice, good to hear. I had a feeling it'd be a slow burn at the start, so I didn't bother starting it once it finished downloading around 9 PM last night. Going to settle in with a proper session tonight when I get home. The S.O. is away for a few days, this is basically my weekend.

I'm a huge AC guy, 100% almost all the games. Valhalla was so goddam long it was the first one I got bored of and just forgot to pick back up. The quests where you are in Viking heaven or whatever with all the gods were boring AF. Up until then, it was an amazing game though.

I bought Transport Fever 2 on sale the other day. I really liked OpenTTD at the time and my borderline autism seems to gravitate to logistics games (Anno series).
The base game has been satisfying so far, but i am really excited to start into the deep mod community that exists too. There seems to be a ton of stuff to add more realism. Any mod suggestions are always helpful.
Now if i can only understand how signals work...

I got the Yakuza bundle during the Steam sale. I assume you start at 0?

Correct. You love mini games right? Still haven't figured out how to play Shogi and it's been a decade's worth of these games. Darts though? World champion.

Finally getting a chance to play Shadows, um yeah, the visuals are far superior to Valhalla..
On that note, Quality visual setting looks worlds better than Performance. Better lighting, colours, more foliage...don't let the allure of Performance's 60 fps get you.

A little behind but man, Space Marine 2 really impressive translating the world. Such a big jump from the original. Between this, Secret Level, Henry Cavill & Amazon and how the regular mini business is going, GW is hitting it out of the park.
Too bad it's a bit of a pain to buy their stock from over here haha.

Also sucks how expensive the game itself is these days, 40k is awesome but man 80 bucks for a box with 5 plastic miniatures in it.. geez.
Looking forward to the series though.

Played a couple hours of AC Shadows - meh. Ghost of Tsushima came out 5 years ago and still feels better to play imo.
I also tried out 'Factorio' on Friday... ended up taking over my weekend. This game is like crack. Factory. Must. Get. Bigger.

Finally caught Resident Evil 4 remake on sale. What an amazing game that is. I thought the RE2 remake was as good as it gets, but this is truly the best remake of all time. Hard to find any faults in this game, and I've been looking. Pretty much everything upgraded over the original, and tons of new content as well. Capcom keeps hitting them out of the ballpark.

One area in Shadows tha's improved gameplay for me is setting difficulty to Expert. Especially with the improved stealth, which is great, but makes it even easier.
It's not just the classic turning the enemy into "damage sponges" thing either; enemies also see you much faster. And for once, simply being on a rooftop doesn't save you: enemies actually look up now.

Silent Hill 2 remake is even better in regards to making an old game look new.

yeah, they did extremely well. Ashley's redesign was particularly great. They turned a spoiled brat who was nothing but a helpless nuisance in the original into a character who actually goes through a bit of character development. I also liked the enhanced role of Luis in the remake.
Still wondering what the next remake is going to be. Only just rumours at this point, but there's been a lot of smoke regarding Zero. I'd absolutely be down for that ... I have a real love/hate relationship with that one, as I think it had some interesting ideas (switching between characters etc.), but that item system was such a pain in the ass. Brutal.
Still holding out hope for Code Veronica at some point. Or a re-remake of the first one. I didn't care for 5, but that's an obvious option for a remake as well.

I lost track of how many times the game had just casually included stuff that made me pause for a sec. So many figures that I recognized as a model, even an out of print that just came back as a release (the winged Sisters statue).

I hope it will be RE:CV. I tried playing it a few months ago on the X360 version and it was tough and hasn't aged well. Definitely needs a remake how the rest of the series has undergone to get it modernized. I'd guess it's probably the least played RE game out there due to the failure of the Dreamcast and was rarely spoken about by Capcom or fans.
RE5 perhaps one day, but to me it already feels modernized in the sense that it followed the transition period after RE4. I much prefer the old "tank control" RE games get remade first.

Kinda combining the Elon and Video Game threads here, but the official Assassin's Creed account cooking Elon Musk was amusing.
