I've never played a Monster Hunter game before, but downloaded Wilds on a whim. Gotta say, the game play loop of hunt monster, upgrade equipment, hunt monster is very gratifying. Pretty nice to be able to jump in, do 2-4 hunts and then log off again. The fights are quite fun as well in this game.

Assassin's Creed Shadows released today, picking it up after work, I'm pumped. Hearing it looks incredible (I've been avoiding online footage leading up to release)
Yeah going to wait a bit, I've heard it looks really good and plays pretty well but falls short in the story / character / acting department, but it's still my favourite kind of game.
And that the guards can't chase you up things which makes things trivially easy since you can always just go up on a roof to escape which is kind of sad.

It’s on the console waiting for me to jump into tonight.
I know they’re not for everyone but I love those games. Might replay the viking one after I finish Shadows.
I always enjoy AC games. Never truly in the "best game" category, but consistently 7-8/10 every release. Except for AC Odyssey. Been discussed at length here, but I will die on the hill that this is a top 5 openworld game of all-time. I personally like the Ubisoft open-world format and it keeps me coming back.
Glad to see Shadows coming out, but really want Mirage to come out on Gamepass.

Nice, I did the reverse and just finished Valhalla DLC Siege of Paris last night that I hadn't gotten around to. I want the differences/improvements in Shadows from Valhalla to be fresh in my mind when I fire it up.
(I know Mirage came out since Valhalla, but that felt more like a glorified DLC than a true standalone AC full game)

I'm not sure why anyone would buy a Ubisoft game at launch. They almost always hit deep discounts within 6 months, and/or show up in gamepass after a few months
