People expect legs churning, throwing the body at players, etc. That's not effective checking against elite opposition. You have to play the McDavids and Mackinnons somewhat passively or they just burn you with their greater physical skill.

What about Backlund is "inspiring"? Going toe to toe against the elite players in the league every night, especially knowing that a mistake against them likely goes in your net and all the fans think how you "blew it" on that play. A much tougher job than being an offensive player, where having one successful play per game makes you elite.

Feel like it's worth posting the link to the candy bracket vote - https://commoninja.site/d2258fc2-2c2...e-c1a853e20231

And yes I understand if you haven't tuned in during the last week or two you're likely very confused right now.

Sidenote: I'd be interested in hearing Scorps top 5 candies like his soup list lol.

Rusic and Rose on FAN960 sums up my feelings to a tee this morning. BS reffing, Oilers handing two good players to the Blues for nothing. Loved the anger and passion this morning.

Fuzzy Peaches beating Sour Soother's is terrible voting and people need to be better.

If hockey players don’t give a rats about advanced stats, which again, are just the story of what’s actually happening on the ice, I can guarantee they give even less of one about the “eye test” conducted by random fans and observers.

Advanced stats don't tell the whole story, please. They're an approximation of some part of the game that people use mostly as a hammer down argument to justify their case.

Would it hurt Warrener to do any prep for this show? He really doesn’t add much value.

Why would anyone actively seek this out to listen to? I get it when they were on terrestrial radio and people were lazy in their cars...

The same way he approached the season as a player.
