But then you'll have respected intellectuals like John Mearsheimer and Jeffrey Sachs who adhere to the expansion of NATO as the catalyst for Russian aggression. They are all over my social media feeds and people can use them as examples to support their pro-Russian point of view.

He's not even providing any push back against them either. He had Charlie Kirk on and basically spent the entire episode blowing Kirk. It was pathetic and I hope he gets crushed in the primaries for 2028.

Yeah, centrist liberals have always believed that because their ideas are so superior, they would always win out in the "marketplace of ideas." That arrogance kind of blinded then to the point that they never seriously considered that said market could be manipulated or completely captured by dishonest actors en masse, even when it was happening right in front of them.

It doesn't even require dishonest actors. Look at what sorts of things thw youtube algorithm originally promoted when no one had their finger on the scale - it wasn't dishonest, it simply calculated what would keep apes like us staring at the screen for longer... and it turns out the answer to that was incredibly depressing. There's a reason that guys like Dave Rubin wandered ever more towards the extreme right wing over time - that's where the viewers and money are.
