Smith pandering to Trump supporters in an interview on Breitbart.
And this is what she bragged about having done "We've all watched the wokeism go too far, and we've all watched the cancel culture go too far, and we've begun the process of dialing that back"

Yea, that's really not a good look for Smith in light of what's happening right now. Just agreeing to do that interview is incredibly dumb and could be viewed as traitorous, and yet I'm not surprised at all. Smith gonna Smith.

Sounds like Smith is heading down to Florida again later this month, this time to speak at something called the East Coast Gala alongside Ben Shapiro of all people. Curious to know if this is on the Alberta tax payer’s dime, of if she’s just going down there on her own time like when she went to Mar-a-Lago.
Not sure what the f*** she’s trying to accomplish here, but once again, this is really not a good look. The only positive I can see here is that Shapiro is surprisingly against tariffs and has made it known that he thinks it’s a dumb decision on Trump’s part. So maybe they’re gonna talk about that? Who knows.

These are not things I'd expect a premier to prioritize, particularly in the middle of the dismantling of our healthcare system and a massive scandal. But hey, the right wing grift-o-sphere needs content and the narcissist in chief needs validation.

I think she's setting herself up for a payday after her tenure as Premier ends. I'd love for someone to Ben Shapiro off that Danielle Smith is the Canadian version of Elizabeth Warren.
I’m seriously considering filing a complaint about his treasonous actions being a violation of his legal oath. I have doubts about his mental capacity too.
Despite Carney's background as a central banker, Smith said she doesn't think the new Liberal leader will change the federal government's approach to the oilpatch.
Smith and her cabinet colleagues regularly criticise the federal Liberals for their policies toward the sector, including the proposed oil and gas emissions cap.
"Mark Carney is responsible for net zero banking. He's been on a warpath against the energy industry for his entire career," Smith said at CERAWeek, an international energy conference in Houston.
"I don't think he's changed his tune," Smith added.
Why does she have to be such a ####ing ####? New leader, new federal partner you may have to deal with for years to come. And you can't even wait five goddamn minutes before going on the attack. Embarrassing. Like a todler.

Her entire persona is "Alberta vs. Ottawa". Leopard can't change its spots, etc etc.

Well I asked about this, so it seems they'll make yet another organization to handle services that don't fit in their other silos.
Quote:
In addition to strengthening emergency health services within the refocused system, Alberta’s government is planning to establish a shared services entity to provide support for Alberta’s entire health care system, including provincial health agencies and service providers. As an independent entity, it will provide necessary services like information technology, finance and human resources functions, along with centralized communications functions like web, digital communications and marketing.
Quote:
To support these efforts, Alberta’s government will transfer emergency health services from Alberta Health Services (AHS) to Acute Care Alberta, invest further in emergency medical services (EMS), and establish a shared services entity to support provincial health agencies and service providers. These changes will enhance specialized expertise, improve care and focus, and strengthen this vital component of the health care system.
Sure, ok but I have a question. If you divide up all these services, and have them fearing for the existential life given they can be taken from your organization and given to churches or investment bankers to run, how do you prevent the "not my job" aspect from becoming the number one concern? We know EMS often waits hours with patients when the hospital is full. So could the hospital just kinda futz around to delay patient transfer and save themselves costs? Could EMS now do whatever it takes to get rid of a patient?
This all seems highly likely to lead to a lot of issues, but what do I know.

What's it gonna take for the former members of the PC party to get fed up and initiate a break from the wild rose? Or is the UCP all wild rose at this point?
