The best thing about the day after the deadline is that there won't be any real trade rumours in here anymore until near the draft so I can skip this thread for a few months.

See ya in June after 600 more pages of bickering about the state and direction of the franchise!

You can still come in here and avoid all that useless bickering easily enough.

Just skim and scroll past any posts with an avatar of Tkachuk chewing a mouth guard and you'll fly right past 90% of the useless content in here.

I’m not sure if you can say this with complete certainty though. Evidently the prices weren’t met on Beoser, Oleksiak, McCann, Rackell. Ristolanen to name a few.

Not all sellers made out like bandits. Were the prices high, yeah, on some guys, but fair to say not on all of them.

This post is a hyperbole factory.

We aren’t sneaking anything, it’s going to be a fight. There’s a logjam of teams right now above and below us.

Wolf has stolen a few games, so has Vladar. Do you think this hasn’t happened with other teams as well?

This is an average team. They are well structured and play hard. Punching above their weight for sure but they are clearly half decent. The goaltending position is part of the team, as much as people love to seperate the two

I don't think Conroy was selling unless it was around the fringes - Miromanov, maybe Hanley? He had publicly came out and squashed rumours that any of the vets would be sold, and even told the leadership group that. Though some of the deals were very expensive, they would probably have to be over-the-top to make Conroy go back on his word, right?

If he had any attention to sell, then the posturing would have at least been different, and he wouldn't have directly told his leadership group that they aren't going anywhere. Now, if he didn't do those things and it was speculation that came out as news, then that's a different story.

Haha this guy...goalie is like 8th in the current league this season let alone historically good. Great for a rookie but come on now.

Considering how bad the team is around him, this is one of the best goaltending performances of the last decade.

Dino likes to flip flop. Wolf is just 8th nothing great guy. In another thread he will call him a superstar.

But he isn’t having a Hasek season. That’s a bit much.

F me how do you even argue against crap like this. Do you even know what a Hasek level season is? Hasek won 6 Vezina trophies and 2 Hart trophies in an 8 year period.

Wolf has been solid, especially for a rookie, but don't be ridiculous

His numbers are amazing for a rookie...they arent even top 5 in the nHL this season though let alone historically I havent ever said otherwise.

Agreed, I also think that he had the 2nd best sv% in the league while playing 5 on 5. I can't think of a goalie that stole his team more points than Wolf this season(Hellebuyck maybe?).

Wolf has been good, but the Flames are where they are because they are playing well, period. They are really committed defensively, and they play hard. They are also well-coached. I don't see the Flames being pushed into the playoffs kicking and screaming by Wolf. I see Wolf as part of what is going right enough on this team to be in this position.

The Hasek level stuff is over the top but we have scored the least goals in the NHL and are in a wild card fight.

Wolf is a big big reason why we are in this spot. They also play a very structured and demanding style that unsustainable in the long term as well. It will grind on the players next season.

Wolf needs help and we got a guy coming but we need a few more.

Calgary has a goal differential of -19.

This season has been quite surprising, but until they score more goals than they give up, I wouldn’t call them a good team.

But definitely a remarkable team.
