Yeah, Ferraro is solid. Physical, a little skill... he'd fill the role that Zadarov played of a high end, physical number 5 defender, who'd be fine as a number 4 for a period of time to fill in for injuries... and he still has some upside, especially given the chance on a stronger team.
But as some have said, the cost could be stupidly high. I'd prefer they'd wait until the offseason unless Conroy can weave some magic.

Nemec and Byram are the only names I've heard that excite me and would turn this around....or multiple future unprotected 1sts.... 2 more hours to dream.

Seems like a real indictment of the 2025 draft when you see how most of the picks being traded are for the 2026 and 2027 drafts.

I'd rather Oleksiak over Ferraro. If you're going into the playoffs against the central division, you're going to need a couple of long sticks clogging up the center of the ice.
Now add in Wright to the equation and that's a move most fans would approve of.

A lot of the buyers already traded their 2025 1sts
Panthers, Oilers, Leafs

No chance, I'll take the 26 year old Ferraro over 32 year old Oleksiak.

Wow I mean it's not the end of the world if the flames don't do ANYTHING but thought we would at least be doing SOMETHING

I am really starting to dislike the approach the flames are making. This is why the team is continually stuck in mediocre land with nothing to look forward to. Perpetually meh.

Mews is a mid level prospect. I'd give up two firsts + for Wright.
He's been really good lately, he is not going anywhere.

The Flames have made four prudent trades this season, starting with the off season.
Markstrom for Bhal and 1st ( which is turning out to be one hell of a deal)
Mangiapane for 2nd round pick ( a solid trade)
2024 5th and 6th for a phillies 2024 4th ( whatever)
Kuzemnko and Pelletier, 2nd and 7th for Fabraee and Frost ( a solid trade)
It's not like we're doing nothing, we have two 1st rounder in the next two drafts and we retain control on any player who we might have traded and could easily move them in the summer or next deadline.
It is no panic team building, which is nice.
