Bummer. I have fond memories of walking to Another Dimension as they bounced around their 37 different locations in Kensington while I was growing up.

I'm sure the Shoppers Drug Mart or Dollarama that probably goes in its place will be great, though.

If it were later in the year it'd be a 'Spirit Halloween.'

Canadian Tire announced today that all Atmosphere stores will be closing and folded into their Sport Chek stores, kind of like how Nevada Bob's was absorbed.

Too bad, I liked having the store and staff focused on outdoors gear with some good discounts as part of being in the CT empire. I suspect at lot of the higher end items that Atmosphere had will not be carried anymore, and we'll be left with low-mid market SKU's (like the golf selection at a Sports Chek)

The SC in Deerfoot Meadows has already rolled them all into one for a while now. Atmosphere, Nevada Bobs and Hockey Experts (i think it was)

Yeah, that's too bad. On one hand it was always pretty slow in there, so I'm surprised it lasted this long...but I liked that they carried some higher end brands like Arcteryx that you could sometimes get on sale, although they stopped carrying that too ever since Arcteryx opened its own boutique.

The MEC/Atmosphere/Camera Store was quite the Beltline triangle of retail bliss for me at its peak. Down to 1 quality store I guess.

I DGAF about the Cannon's stadium being torn down, TBH. Going to baseball games was the worst. Just hellishly boring.

Hard disagree. Going to a baseball game is one of life’s true joys. Far better than any other sport.

While I agree with your first sentence, I cant get on board with the second one.

I do miss the Cannons even if the weather made it challenging at times. Seeing that stadium being torn down does make me sad.

Brentwood Mall Toys R Us closing.

The Rooms and Spaces next door didn't even last 6 months.

Does Doug Putnam have a money tree??

Homesense is going in where the Rooms and Spaces was, just turn the Toys R Us into a Winners.

Marda Loop is becoming quite the destination. Marda Loop Brewing's patio was full. Bella's patio was full. 30 minute lineup to get a sandwich at Bonjour and the people kept coming.

Or maybe it sucks I dunno....
