Its a dumb story, but the gist of it is this.

When I was a kid, I broke my ankle in a soccer tournament, my coach made me continue to play.

"We can't win without you!" This was stupid.

My parents didnt believe in having a Family Doctor so they took me to a local clinic.

Doctor Rando prescribed me 16 Ibuprofen. A day. For 3 months.

Now I cant handle any painkillers. I had to go in for surgery as a kid, nothing to be done about that, you gotta have painkillers. I was sick for a week.

An Advil? The next day is a hangover x10. Its brutal. I'd rather suffer the pain.

I take painkillers or sedatives only when absolutely, unconditionally necessary. But other than that? I avoid them like the plague.

For sleeping what about melatonin? I have used it a couple times when my brain just keeps going at night and it worked. I just get weirded out by things that knock me out.
