I would be s###ing bricks if I were an American living in the states.
Country is getting run into the ground.
They'll take the furniture before the MAGAs clue in that something's wrong.
Why do they still entrust that this turd has their interests at heart lol? I guess Fox is covering none of the ####storm he's bringing down on them.
Sewage water, weakened security, threat of deportation, businesses and agriculture crushed by tariffs, costs of living to increase.
I don't even think they know where he's steering this Titanic any more lol. It's just blind faith now because otherwise they'd be faced with an identity crisis.

It's going to be fascinating if this trade war escalates to where the provinces that supply hydro electricity to the U.S pull the plug.
There's no instant recourse if that happens. How many millions of people will be without electricity until the U.S solves their own problem. How much infrastructure failure will happen.
Ford seems itchy to do just that right now let alone further down the road of escalation.

There is also the Columbia River Treaty that
“Thanks to the strong bilateral relationship between Canada and the U.S., work with the Province of B.C., and the valuable contributions from the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc and Syilx Okanagan Nations over the past six years, today’s agreement-in-principle brings us closer to a modernized treaty that will continue to provide benefits for generations to come.”
Ya...so what can we do? Well...
Quote:
The treaty has no end date but either country can unilaterally terminate the treaty from September 2024 onward provided at least 10 years notice is given.

Ok, cool! Trump doesn't care about treaties, so we don't even need to wait 10 years. We could just cut them off now.

Yup, Trump would instantly declare war if we did something like that. I know Ford is itching to shut off their power, but does he actually have the authority to do that without Federal approval? I feel like the Feds would likely step in and tell him to calm down and not do anything crazy.

Except he isn't. Not in North America anyhow. Trump is a narcissist but he isn't going to take the chance of destroying his cult legacy by starting WW3

An actual war, especially against white people, is probably what would sink Trump. Another war to kill brown people probably gets his base excited, but seeing as the cult are huge proponents of white genocide I doubt they'd be happy to contribute to that genocide.

AFAIK, that's for the Columbia River only and respective to B.C.

I think his base would totally go for it. MAGA would frame it as liberating white people in a country with a quickly declining demographic majority. They are also the types to watch Joe Rogan and probably believe his hype that Canada is a dictatorship and we are moving towards 15 minute cities.

It's incredibly important to the US. Most of the basin is south of us, but they require us to control flows to their network. Without a treaty, we can do whatever we want.

After the election it was just too depressing to keep up with politics. So I haven't been around in a while after years of reading every post in these threads.
Figured I'd check in on y'all with how terrible things are going between our countries. This really has been a s$%^show. I honestly don't see a way out. I feel like we are at the point where irreparable damage is being done on multiple fronts.
I really hope you guys continue to stand up to him.

Yes. I’m watching a livestream, part was a replay of Trudeau. The chat is hideous. This can’t be real, but it is. How sadistic do you have to be to support the MAGAs. I don’t get it. I really don’t.
