Offers they have had on Vladar so far this year have been lowball and Conroy does not want to move him anyhow as him and Wolf are comfortable and supportive of eachother. As for a Miromanov trade keep an eye on the Chicago Blackhawks there.

I think the gap between WC2 and top10 pick is so small that the team likely stays in a holding pattern for the trade deadline.
I would expect that two main thoughts are in the forefront.
1) If someone offers a king's ransom for Andersson then you pull the trigger.
2) If someone like Cozens or Wright becomes available then you pull the trigger.
Outside of those scenarios, there isn't much chance of a trade. I can't envision Coleman, Kadri, or Backlund being traded this season and unless there is a viable goalie coming back, I doubt Vladar is traded either.

The Flames aren't going to try and lose lol...they are currently in a playoff spot
And its not like its one team that needs to pass the Flames to get into the bottom 10 there are a handful, most of whom the Flames have games in hand on.

True but we are only talking about a grand total of 2 points .

There are also 4 teams 2 points above them...5 points out of a divisional spot with head to heads vs. that team upcoming. I promise you they are not sitting Wolf or "managing the bench" to try and lose that is a ridiculous idea.

Of course they won't, but as teams ramp up their pushes, the Flames won't have to. Flames have hit their performance peak and have reaped as many points as they could during the first half of the season.
I'll wager the Flames get leaped frogged a few times before the end of the year. It's gonna be sour seeing the Flames give MTL a 1st between 11 and 16.

I never said anything ridiculous about sitting wolf. I said trade a vet or 2.

The Flames have 3 wins in their last 10 games and are virtually in the same spot in the standings. They are through the worst of their hardest road trip of the season.
I don't think some people understand how hard it would be for all those teams to pass and win their games in hand. If it was one team and 2 points it would be a lot different.

I believe Dino was alluding to this post:

At the moment, there's such a pileup of teams just outside the playoffs, I don't think you can count on cementing anything. Expect to see some weird finishes to the season.

Prepare to be sour...although the Devils pick isn't looking much better

Vancouver and Montreal can absolutely pass us without a sweat.
So then you're talking about 3 teams: Boston, St. Louis and Utah. To make up 2 points in 20 games.
Not that crazy.

Flames went 0-2-1 and past Vancouver on this road trip while they had easy games
Like I said 5 teams, many the Flames have games in hand on. There are also a just as many teams slightly ahead of the Flames. Flames on their worst 10 game stretch of the season are virtually in the same spot

Vancouver is a tire fire but still have a team that should pass the Flames.

For the Flames it comes down to whether or not this is a blip (getting outplayed badly, can't score), or if it's a sign that other teams have ramped up and matched their work ethic.
If it's the former then Dino could be right and they hang in for the season.
If it's the latter then this team could really slide out of things.
Metrics suggest they've been taking on water since mid January.

Miller gone, Demko out, Hughes in and out of the lineup with injuries, chaos in the room… That team could lose a lot of ground in a hurry.
