Because any young man that starts following Andrew Tate is almost guaranteed to become MAGA. He's as disgusting and reprehensible as you can get as an "influencer", which makes him the perfect tool for Trump

I am definitely not sticking up for Trump because he lies about everything and is just an awful human, but things have been moving at a break neck speed so far in general. IVF not being free by now isn't a reason to be upset.

I read somewhere that, in order to welcome people back into the fold of non-fascist politics or rational thinking, we should not be calling these voters morons; but instead say that they "were lied to".
To me this makes decent sense. Think of Brexit and the lies people like Farage told people, calling the Remainers fearmongers etc. Many of the fence sitters were lied to.
I have a very hard time looking at a 2024 trump voter and, with sympathy, say "you were lied to". F that.

Then you aren't much better than they are.
Be better.

Yes, you have to look at like someone leaving a cult. They've been believing lies for YEARS. If they start to penetrate that even a little and come to you, a friend or family member, to discuss it and your response is - "Yeah I told you, you moron! You're an idiot HAHA look at you and how dumb you are!" - they will turn right back around.
The actual people perpetuating it and carrying it out (ie the politicians and lobbyists and media personalities etc...) they deserve the vitriol. Tell them to f*** off all day. And yeah, the people who have created their own suffering, you can shrug and remind them they voted for exactly this, but getting aggressive with your disdain for their choices isn't going to help pull them out of it.

A top White House official has threatened to redraw the Canadian border amid Donald Trump’s ambition to turn the country in America’s “51st state”.
Peter Navarro, one of Donald Trump’s closest advisers, is pushing US negotiators to discuss reworking the border with their Canadian counterparts, The Telegraph can reveal.
“Navarro recommended revising the Canada-US border, which is just crazy and dangerous,” a source close to negotiations told The Telegraph.

They were 100% lied to, but anyone rational adult would have known they were being lied to, which is the issue I have with Trump voters.

In lieu of Greenland, they are 100% taking parts of the Arctic archipelago.
OK, maybe not 100%, but I put the odds at pretty high.

Unfortunately the guardrails in the U.S. are gone and we’re officially now living next door to a dictatorship. Unless the UK and the EU can actually grow a pair and start helping us and pushing back, America is just gonna take whatever it wants.
