Close game.. until the Tkachuks got put together. Credit to Finland for making it a game until then.
I expect a really exciting and emotional game when Canada meets the USA. I expect it to be very physical and very fun to watch as a fan. Great tournament so far.

We got this on Saturday Boys. Don't even worry. We got this.
Someone tweet Donald if we win, he takes off the tariffs.

Treliving was up and down as a GM but that deal and letting Gaudreau enter his final year without a contract were historic blunders from what turned out to be an absolute embarrassment of a GM in Calgary. He literally destroyed this franchise with some baffling management decisions.

Tre did screw up but Tkachuk also chose to leave for less money...other GMs have bridged players but they usually end up signing. Now Tkachuk is all orange lips at the white house he can absolutely pound sand...unless he is playing the Oilers

Their defence was already their weak, but with Heiskenen out it’s brutal. Tough break for them.

Canada needs at least a point vs USA to stay in control of their own destiny.

These four teams (and Russia) are the only countries that can do that right now.
Czech has 28 NHLers but only 4 dmen. Nobody else is close.
If Russia didn't have their political issues I think you could have seen 6 teams, with Finland, Canada, Russia, Sweden, USA, and a "Rest of the World" roster because that's really the only way to do it with only NHLers included.
|
Really you only need 4 teams.
Canada
USA
Scandinavia (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark)
Rest of World

His job is to keep those guys.
You just don't see superstar RFAs leave like that. Eichel is the one that comes to mind but things got obviously ugly there and that was a tire fire of a franchise.
Flames were on the upswing and we lost our top two players in an offseason.
He ####ed up and mismanaged those situations BIG time. Then we all know what he did next with monahan and our 1st.
Just terrible. There's some bad GMs that make some dumb moves, but I've never see a pile of #### that bad before.

Ok. One last time.
Tkachuk didn’t want to play in Canada. Full stop.
Tre couldn’t force him to sign long term. Getting him on that bridge deal was likely the best case scenario.
And we got an absolute haul for him. Everything about that was a win.
The far bigger blunders were Gaudreau and Monahan. To a lesser extent signing Huby.

Lol, posts ONE LAST TIME!!! like it's a fact needed to be stated again, then proceeds to post speculation that Tkachuk wouldn't sign long term. I can't stand those Calipanthersfan style, holier than thou proclamations that scream of " I'm posting so it has clout!!!".

Interviewer asked what they thought about the booing of the anthem, Brady nudged Matthew and Matthew said he didn’t like it and that’s all he had to say.

I would personally put Hill in but other than that...people want to see Bennett because he used to play for the Flames, there is no logical case to put him in over anybody already in. Bennett wouldn't have made the team if decisions were made later like Canada wanted. Huberdeau is having a better season
