It is so funny on the reddit, fans were complaining that our rivalry was forced.
When in reality, If I saw Forge's bus had a flat at the side of the road, I would only pull over to laugh at them.

Heh, I saw that too. I do think the league is ramming it down our throats, but the rivalry is real.
When Forge was first repping the CPL in Concacaf play I was more sympathetic and hoping they'd show well for the league. Now that we're in it I want them to get smoked while we showcase our skills.

Ya I saw that. I guess now that Cavalry have the upper hand Forge wants to pretend that rivalry was forced on them. But I still remember the racism incident in 2019, Awuah and Henry jawing at kids after winning the title, Henry moping off the pitch when we beat em 3-0 last year and Bekker holding up a 4 as he was serenaded off the pitch in November.
Last week Forge fans (more specifically, the person who runs True North Foot, who is a former Forge ball boy) were begging for the return of CONCACAF League. Small minded thinking from a club who apparently just wants to be a big fish in a small pond and doesn't want to leave that pond.

Okay, now it's official official. Daan Klomp has signed with La Louviere in Belgian's second division. I guess the move to Australia (which I thought was a great landing spot) didn't work out.
Cavalry have said their goodbyes as well.

I offer you my annual public service of a schedule calendar link to subscribe to. No spam, no notifications, etc. Just a clean iCal calendar from your friend Jimmy Stang.
The link: https://calendar.google.com/calendar...blic/basic.ics
Depending on what device you're using, you may need to copy it and add it in using Google Calendar. Or your device might offer to subscribe after tapping/clicking.
It is the same link as previous years, so if you're already using it, it should now be up to date.
If you spot any errors, please let me know.

It's not a bad schedule overall; I'm just flipping through. The home game on Saturday at 3 p.m. during the May long weekend isn't necessarily ideal, but hopefully, the weather is nice and plenty of fans are here.

I have to admit, I really don't like Saturday games. But what can you do.

The bookies are giving Cavalry no chance whatsoever. Pumas up to -900 to win, meaning bet 9 to win 1.

Everyone and their dog does sports betting these days, so we all have betting apps. Do posts like these make you feel smart or something explaining to us how odds work like we're five? We know the odds.
And anyway, people who aren't betting don't give a #### about the odds, so why post them? Other than to continue to bash things that are Canadian or Calgary.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I just posted it for informational purposes, as many people don't follow the odds. Someone was on here earlier talking about a charter flight for the next round, "if we make it."

Sports are for dreaming, the highs and the lows. As long as we have a smidgen of a chance we will be on here cheering on the Cavs and dreaming of possibilities.
I guarantee the players aren't sitting there thinking the betting line says they're massive underdogs. Why should we as fans?

Everyone knows its a huge long shot, but this is pro sports and anything can happen.
This isn't Forge playing aggressive and open to score 2-3, this is going to be 90 mins of highly defensive counter attack football. That can often generate frustration, red cards, and PKs. One reckless challenge in the box by either club can radically change "the odds".
Pumas on paper should break them down, and the prediction of 3-1 I've seen in a few places seems likely, which is still a massive achievement for a 7 year old club... losing 4-3 on aggregate against a team that is likely to go far would be a huge step. But hey... score a goal, or keep a draw... and those odds shatter pretty quick.

After playing against Olivier Giroud in pre-season I am positive that Kobza and Montgomery are thinking to themselves that they can handle the attackers of Pumas (not to mention their domination of the first leg)
Cavs have the two most dangerous players in the CPL in Musse and Warschiewski, all they need is a chance - which I'm sure they will get one or two.
Why not?

Also, I'm sure no one thought Cavs would win last week either, and yet, here we are.
Question - in the Champions Cup, if they tie this game tomorrow... does it go to shootout to determine a winner? Or is aggregate the final determinant?
