Uncle Weiners is hilarious! They have some great knock-off "lego" and some weird and bizarre products. We were there before Christmas to find things for a joke gift exchange and that place fit the bill.

There is a place off Horton Road called Superbinz and that literally is an Amazon returns place. The items are dirt cheap, and there are a lot of totally random pieces of junk.

London Drugs can also have some wicked clearance deals on stuff because they do bring in some many random items. At the end of last summer they had some silly deals on smokers. I didn't need a smoker but the sales price was so good that I was really tempted to purchase one (but I resisted that urge to waste money.)

Also their polarized sunglasses for ~$25 are a great deal and in the early summer they usually have a 50% off sale. I lose or break sunglasses a lot so I stock up when they are 50% off.

When they do "manager special" TV clearouts the prices are nuts.

I like their small, but generally useful, electronics department. While they don't have as much stuff, they always seem to have the one thing I need, in stock. Plus, the sales people tend to be older, and seem to know what they are talking about...unlike the teens at Best Buy.

The location I go to, London Town Square, is an authorized Apple service centre. I've found it to be a great place to get my computers serviced, as the people who work in the Computer department are legitimate old-school nerds, not annoying hipster "geniuses" you find at the Apple Store. The Apple Store was actually the one who told me to go to LD when they couldn't solve an issue...and I've been using them ever since. Very fair prices for service, and they give great advice that doesn't try to upsell. One time I had to go back to get something small fixed, and they gave me a $25 gift card for my time.

One of the few places where you can still get photos developed and printed. They also have a pretty decent collection of vinyl. My kind of nostalgia!

Once upon a time I used to work at that location as a stock clerk / cashier. London drugs is a great company to work for and takes care of it's employees I shop there on the regular still (130th location).

Really? Remember when they had the data breach and their employees' confidential information got stolen?

Went yesterday to pick up my monthly STD prescription, OXO 12" fry pans were on clearance for $30 and they had some nice heavy baking pans on clearance for $12. Got one of each.

We should have a dedicated thread for reporting hot LD clearance items. I might go check out this cookware.

OXO pans: https://www.londondrugs.com/search?q=oxo%20fry%20pan

Cuisinart cake pans: https://www.londondrugs.com/search?q...t%20cake%20pan

The round ones are too low however. Dunno why they did that.

Thanks, my wife never follows the "don't use metal utensils on non-stick pans" so I'm not buying nice pans for her anymore when they end up scratched up in 6 months. Will get her those lol.

I asked if she LIKES the taste of teflon or something....

The IKEA pans are good for this.

Invest in stainless steel, cast iron, ceramic, etc.

For anything nonstick, go as cheap as possible.

IKEA had some good selection of carbon steel pans, but they stopped stocking them for some reason. Grabbed a cool mini pan that’s perfect for home-made egg mcmuffins. They also had a nice crepe pan that was awesome.

I buy my fry pans at Costco

Use them for 12 months then return them.

I have one of those! I find it too thin, personally, but for the price it was worth a shot. Doesn’t help that I already had a heavy duty, well seasoned carbon steel.

I have two IKEA nonstick (a regular and mini) I mostly use for eggs. Sensitive as hell to scratching but great for the purpose. Low heat and a soft spatula.
