He, quite frankly, has a case for the Hart this year if the Canucks make it.

Playing with no one? Who are they missing from his Norris season?

Canucks stench. He won't win a cup.

Hughes as the same amount of points as Makar in 9 less games. As said in another threat, the advanced stats show Hughes to be having a dominant season. Makar is 3rd on the Avs in scoring, and I believe it was JFresh showing that Makar has been much less impressive when playing away from MacKinnon (and vice versa). Hughes leads the Canucks in scoring by 22 points.

Current Hughes is considerably better than current Makar, who has dropped a bit in terms of his play driving since the cup run. Mack runs the show in Colorado at this point, more than ever.

Hughes is having the better year than Makar.

But Makar is still the best defenseman (arguably, of course).

And it's not just offense. Hughes has also been playing legit good defense. Not just not a liability defensively, he's been properly good there too.

So people often ask what I mean when I rail against Vancouver sports media. Gary Mason lobbed this article into the world, painting a message that Allvin and Rutherford have reached the end of their rope and that a trade is now likely the only option.

Conveniently left out of the article the question about what happens if the team does manage to turn it around and the subsequent answer.

He has now added that to twitter. If you put that into the interview it certainly changes the point the team's head office is at.

Gary Mason covers politics now for the Globe in Toronto, this article is a one off.

Vancouver media is fine, you always say they're making things up but never show any proof.

And is still based in Vancouver and is still a problem when he decides to pull what he just pulled.

I literally just explained how he created a narrative that wasn't real by intentionally omitting a key part of the interview that changes the team's current posture and position. I've gone over multiple times what certain media members say/do that ends up not being real. The player interviews with former players directly goes against the sensationalist media takes in this current #### fest.
Not really sure what more you need me to do.

What you're thinking of is me showing Taj making #### up, which Ive never shown and have since stopped saying. I just point out how he will omit context of answers to make them seem bigger than they are

Geez, wouldn't it just be easier to take a slightly lesser package for Miller to attempt to stabilize the younger more valuable core? Pull the band-aid off already.

When Miller declines (and pending his effort level on a night-by-night basis he shows what that looks like) he will again blow up the team at that point anyhow. Complete cancer.

Blaster, do you think Alvin/JR regret the Horvat trade now? Or nah?

I don't think so. I don't. At the time, Miller is and has the potential to be the better player.

And poor Hughes is "playing with no one". What a captain, stewarding that ship into this mess. Ladies and gentlemen, your next Yzerman, Sakic, and Crosby.

I love it.

Donnie and Dhali talk about Rutherford's comments and give their opinions on Pettersson and Miller.

It’s pretty incredible how quickly a team’s fortunes can change. We flames fans know that all too well. The Canucks could lose their their 3 top forwards in Miller, Petterson and Boeser by the summer and could lose even more (Demko) to trade requests within the year as well. They could be in full rebuild by next year. Hopefully not in the McKenna sweepstakes.

The unfortunate thing is that a fair number of fans pay attention to the turkeys.

Donnie and Dhali are right, shame on them. Good on em for calling out those two and leaving the Canucks in such a mess, I don't think we'll be hearing JT Miller chants anymore. I'd be booing both if I was a Canuck's fan.

Now they're saying that Hughes will demand out, if the Canucks go into a rebuild mode. They've got to be talking with Hughes right now about what kind of players would make him happy coming back in return.

Hughes also becomes a UFA in 2 more years. He may have wanted to play with his brothers eventually anyways.
