It’ll be wokeness on steroids as every reference to him gets pulled down and no one ever says his name again.

Pitchforks and #97 shirt burning beside the Gretzky statue at 5:30. BYO sweatpants.

Just popping in quickly to remind everyone that Edmonton is no good.

That is all.

Which was re-upped because he decided to share this "wisdom" last night...

As bad as he is as a hockey "fan blogger", he's even worse doing his day job covering politics.

It must anger Rick Bell so much that no matter how hard he tries, he'll never be the worst writer employed by Postmedia in Alberta so long as Staples is around.

There's truth to this for me - I was in kindergarten in 1978-79 and was just starting to follow hockey.

The Habs, Leafs, Bruins, BlackHawks were all the sort of teams our dads cheered for.

For that reason, the Islanders became "my team" as they were a fun, dynamic team with a lot of great players including a couple stars from my home province of Saskatchewan.

I didn't quite realise the depths of E=NG in kindergarten but within a couple years, there would be incredible Stanley Cup battles between my team and a bunch of jerks from Edmonton led by the biggest whiner in the sport (as I felt at the time) Wayne Gretzky.

My E=NG feelings were locked in early and continued as I left behind the Islanders during their own decade of darkness and transitioned to the Flames being "my team" after my wife and I moved to Calgary in the early 2000s.

I didn't realize that we elect Rogers executives, I gotta look harder at my ballots, I guess...

I see the Oilers got another win against a crappy non-playoff team last night. I'm convinced. They're clearly the greatest team ever.

Just imagine being this stupid... Whatever your opinion is on the Cherry firing, I don't think many people are dumb enough to A) assume that politicians were behind his firing and B) it's at the crux of all the problems in Canada.

So if this happened you would have Mcdavid at 12.5M, Drai at 14M, Rantanen at 14M (I assume), and Nurse at 9.25M...4 players with a combined cap hit of 49.75M... even with a Salary Cap of 92M I'm not sure how you ice the rest of your team with 42.25M. I actually hope they do this.

"Strickland: Don’t ask me to break down the cap"

Fine, then we won't bother taking anything you've said into consideration.

By the time the cap gets to its magical infinity times 100 number, mcdiva might be on the leafs, but will certainly be on a max contract.

I’m thinking they dump Kane, and go with a 10 player roster.

Vegas calls up Lavoie.

Wishing Lavoie nothing but success after a horrible start to his career (drafted by the Oilers)

Tack on another $6M for Bouchard and $4-5M for Mcdavids raise the season after too.
