I'd be okay with taking an expensive RHC for the 4th line if some team wants to pay the Flames to help them out.

I am surprised to see that the Flames have a better point percentage than the Avalanche. Who would've thought

People know Andersson is under contract next season, right? How is that a self-rental?

Dryden Hunt isn’t in the Wranglers lineup tonight. I wonder if he gets called up and Rory Kerins gets sent back down.

I don't know. I'm not sold on Cozens. He's had 1 good year. That is it. He was a complete non factor against Edmonton today.

I think this group has earned some help from the GM....go get a piece that the team needs.
Namely a C who can chip in offensively a bit but most importantly, be a solid faceoff guy. Preferably a RHS but not a deal breaker.

It's a deal Breaker for Conny. That much I believe.

Everyone on that team is struggling badly under a long draught of sucking and the worst coach in pro sports. I think Cozens still has first line C upside if you get him the hell out of there.

Not if its an expiring deal....they have to get some depth down the middle.
No use waiting for something that might not come his way.
Again, nothing crazy or a massive deal, just some help for a group of guys that have done (and are doing) everything and more thats been asked of them. They deserve it.

The Flames have a better winning percentage than COL, TBL, BOS, NYR and VAN, on Jan 25th.
If you had said they would be ahead of ONE of them, well maybe they were having an off year. But all of them? You'd have gotten some serious odds.
12th in winning percentage now - insane!

It's also how players play when they want to be traded out of a black pit

Never thought this squad would be a (potential) buyer at this time of the season. Crazy what some confidence, chemistry, coaching and a stud rookie goalie can do for a team in a very short amount of time. It's been a - surprisingly - very fun year.

QThis game showed how thin, and thus vulnerable they are on the blueline. They might need a D more than a C.
Not saying it couldn't be someone from the Wranglers, like Solovyov or Poirier. But they need someone.
(Apparently Kuznetsov had 3 pts tonight!)
