Use Brave Browser my guy. I tried Safari out on my phone to see the fuss and they are the worst ads I've ever seen on a website...Not surprising why this fourm is a ghost town now.
Thanks for this info. Perfect solution.

Switched to Brave. Tried to grin and bear it for the site revenue but had three instances this morning where I couldn’t X out of an ad covering 3/4 of my phone screen. Doesn’t feel like the issue is being given much priority.

I think those “x” to close should be government regulated. Pressing on it MUST close the window and if in doubt whether the “x” was pressed or “go to this scuzzy website”, it must assume the user intended to close the window.
I don’t actually see much even on Safari on the phone, but maybe it about forcing the mobile vs desktop views?
I use Brave on the iPhone/iPad but on my PC I (mostly) use Firefox. However, I run a Ubiquiti router that also blocks ads, so, unless I want them (I switch to a different network) I never see them. Except YouTube...so for that, as above, Brave. I'm cautiously testing Brave on other things that require more security...so far seems good.
The ads are annoying, especially at the bottom of the screen.
I have used and appreciated this free site for many, many years so I am hesitant to use an ad blocker. I have no idea how it works. If I use an ad blocker, does the site not get the revenue from the ad?
Simply, I want the site to generate revenue and be supportive as I have spent thousands of hours on this site (sadly?) over the years.
I know Bingo has already posted against it, but throwing it out there anyway: I would rather pay a subscription than deal with the annoyance of these ads.
If you’re on the newest iOS you can click the blue eyeball in the top left and then click on anything you want to “disappear”. Pretty handy feature without using another browser! With that being said, I’d totally subscribe to CP if that was a thing.
