Mel, you understand Trump, while not criminally charged, has established himself as an insanely disgusting sexual predator to women, right? Just ask E. Jean Carroll and the other victims of his behaviour that he's tried to suppress over the years. The guy was also lasso-tight with Epstein and Maxwell, which most than likely goes down worse than what's been made publicly available about the 'list'. Hell, the dude has said he likes young girls and has made perverted sexual comments about his own DAUGHTER.

Trump may not be criminally charged with a sex offense (yet), but in the court of public opinion and overwhelming evidence compiled over many years and many examples, he's the worst sex offender out there in the political world. You can argue semantics, but the dude is a sex offender, and he's more than earned label long ago. Disgusting that you support him too.

If Central Banking is perceived as a pathway to the highest offices, then it will distort the incentives for future central bankers. The central bankers are supposed to be independent of the politicians. If they lose that independence, even if it means from future political aspirations, then it would have two negative consequences. First, it may impact their policy decisions, and two it would reduce the faith in the independence of the central bank. Some semblance of independence is central to a central banks ability to function.

Because we live in a civil society. The courts also come down on people who misrespresent the facts.

I have not given my opinion on Trump in this thread about his behavior, just pointing out misinformation. I never said he wasn't a creep ect ect ect, just said he was not convicted of something, which is true, any opinion on his behavior is based on information via the media and his political opponents, which aren't always good sources of information.

But you sound like you have information, the authroties don't? Why don't you come forward?

I agree that Carney’s time to initiate is now - 4 years is a long time

As far as whether he can win or not in the next election is entirely if the electorate simply only hated Trudeau's personality or if they also hated his policies because Carney is completely the ideological successor to Trudeau.

Based solely on his interview on the Daily Show, he doesn’t seem to agree with many policies that Trudeau’s governments have put in place. We shall see in practice if the “ideological successor” is just preemptive misinformation or not
