You're the one who lost their mind and claimed that a team could pay a player $80 million with no cap hit. Then claimed to have won the argument after I showed you, dollar for dollar, what the cap hit would actually be.

Ok
You’re right
I was simply adding to a mildly humorous statement about signing an extension by suggesting the type of deal
Subtle humour is often lost depending on who is absorbing it
Besides, no use discussing math, you also now have me convinced that 63.2 divided by 8 IS INDEED 7.4

Oh, good grief. Learn what a discount rate is and then find out which two numbers are actually being divided to arrive at 7.4.
Or, you know, I could just take advantage of your incomprehension. Tell you what, I want to offer you a job. You start work tomorrow, but I pay you eight years from now. Still interested?

Hey!
I’m agreeing with you. You can stop now. You’ve proven your level of awareness in spades OilersHawk. And your social disposition to jokes is obviously apparent to all. Not even mentioning your superior simplistic math skills.

Presently Kerins leads the AHL in scoring and has posted 13G in 17GP.
Time for a look-see soon?

A not big but not small center that can score. Sign me up. Is he any sort of play driver?

Well since last weekend he's at like a 144 assist pace...

Never thought much of this did, he did alot of things good but nothing great. There was nothing I ever saw that stood out. IIRC he's really turned his fitness and conditioning game up and it's obviously paying off. Reminds me a little of Daymond Langkow out there. good controlled game, smart, nothing especially amazing just solid all around.
Hope we see him down the middle.

It's interesting as he had a monster D+1 season, but then turned pro and really struggled to adapt.
The patience and long-term plan by the Flames to have him in the ECHL for a full season is pretty ballsy. Guys usually don't come back from that, but it was clearly the smartest choice for his development.

D2*. His D1 was limited to four AHL games because of COVID.

Imagine if this kid turns out to be a solid, everyday NHLer. It would be like found money!

To me anytime you get a player below round four its found money.
It would certainly make our center depth a little better especially if they are serious about putting Honzek at center. Even if he pans out losing costco and zary and if we lose a kadri or backs its going to be a struggle.

Rory Kerins is a career 2.0 PPG NHL'er
Connor McDavid is a career 1.52 PPG NHL'er

Easy choice
