Only thing worse than the national anthem before a hockey game is masturbating with a cheese grater. Props to this girl for getting it over as fast as possible.
Yes. This Kings fan knows what he's about and I respect that!
Kudos to the Anthem Singer.

No one asked if you were excited, nor did they comment on your lack of excitement. The weird take is dissing someone who is. Seems a little intentionally mean.
I thought the act of “dissing” ended 30 years ago. But okay, if I “dissed” someone for their excitement about Kerins, I sincerely apologize.
What this absolute “diss” was is this:

If there was no flaming C I doubt you’d be interested.
I mean your Ref-aided oilers beat the last place team in the league, I’m sure you would have been even more excited about it if the oilers had some long shot prospect making his debut.

My? I dislike the Oilers more than any team that I don’t hate. The team I hate with passion is Vancouver.
That 1994 series changed me forever. I was a pretty nice kid who happened to be a Calgary fan in BC. They tormented the hell out of me at school and I will never forget. Ever. I cheered for Dallas, Toronto, and New York. Thankfully the unthinkable didn’t happen.

One of my favorite things once international hockey rolls around is all the foreign-language goal calls, the enthusiasm and delivery in different languages is so cool. I'm looking forward to that with the coming Olympics, maybe the Four Nations as well.

When good things happen to us it is merely but a precursor to our imminent, predictable and unrelenting punishment from a vengeful and frankly rather sadistic Universe.
This Is The Way.

Junglist and butterfly must be in an Everyone-Look-at-Me WhatsApp group and arrange who's turn it is to annoy everyone night to night.
Collective blocking session activate.
I'm really looking forward to seeing a flames fan and late round pick, who's worked his ass off to achieve his dream, play any amount of minutes against a fellow NHL team.
Also, people haven't done "girl please" in about a decade either.

We need to start looking at a long term extension on Coronato before he gets crazy.
He’s exactly what this team should build around.
I remain shocked that some would add him as a toss in for other trades, like Cozens or Petersson.
Here we got a kid who bleeds red, gives 110% every shift and has improved astronomically from last year. A kid with a shot we haven’t had on the team since Iggy and who could become such an effective scorer with the release and accuracy he has.
I’m building around this kid, both him and Wolf are the highlights of the season for me.

What’s my take? I’m not excited to watch a late round pick who worked their way up? They’re going to play 8-14 minutes and get used to the pace of the game? That’s exciting?
Seriously, good for Kerins. I’m all about young players if you’ve seen my posts. I don’t know how that could be possibly more exciting than watching Zary, except that we haven’t seen it before.
Great. Congrats. Hooray. Now suppress goals like the team did in this game to impress.
Lol, I'm sorry, but this is such a "I'm too cool for school" take ha ha. Crapping on an innocent comment from someone who said they are interested in seeing how a Flames prospect does next game. So edgy. Tell us more Edgelord!

100%. What do we think a long-term extension looks like if he finishes with 45-50 points this year? 8 x $6.5m?

I think at this point you’ve pretty effectively made it so no one cares.

Give Zary, Coronato, and Wolf all 8.
Totally agree though, I think Coronato is going to cross a threshold pretty quick here where that contract looks real expensive.
I’d still do it though.

I would give him the Cozens contract for sure. The Flames have cap space to burn and no cap concerns for the next 4 years minimum. I would be trying to lock these guys down for as long as possible and relying on two factors to make them value contracts on the backend of the terms.
1) that they just actual improve and are worth more than the contract or
2) that the value of the cap go up so much that in combination of part of point one they are value contracts.
Assuming they get wolf done this offseason too the Flames do not have a high value RFA that they will need to sign until the 2028 offseason at the earliest (unless Honzek pops). By 2028 they will have one year of Kadri, two years of Yegor and 3 years of Huberdeau and Weegar left. They can easily spend more money now than they normally would
