Who do I have to talk to? If I have to listen to that 1 song on hold several more times then I might go insane. Fair warning. Winnipeg isn't far enough to save you.

You know what really grinds my gears? Those concrete parking lot stops.

Not the wee little ones that are in every parking lot, I'm talking the big chunky triangular ones that are like 2 feet tall.

Yeah. Those grind my gears. Or, as is the matter in this case, my spine and skull.

Damn it was slippery out last night.

I’m so juvenile, just the thought of someone slipping and wiping out in a parking lot makes laugh. Complete with Peter Griffin and his knee after.

Oh dude no...you ever see those videos of people wiping out on ice and then just lying there starfished on the ground seemingly having given up on the proposition of existence?

That was me.

I slipped, went down and took the apex of the concrete parking triangle right to the base of my skull my spine went down the side of the whole thing and then I slid, gracefully, like a curling rock, into the parking lot...simply staring at the enormity of the cosmos. It was a moment of pure beauty.

I went down. I went down hard. And I stayed there for a while. Contemplating life and the Universe and all of ensuing implications of my continuing to be a part of it.

Locke down. Locke. Down. And not having a good one today I might add.

Although, that is to say that I'm sure it would have goddamned hilarious to a spectator. I would never fault anyone for that.

At least you’ve been hit in the head so many times the amount of damage left to do is pretty minimal.

The piles of gravel they drop in parking lots grinds my gears. Get caught in my shoes and they end up being tracked indoors. Has anyone ever got stuck in a parking lot? A customer from Minneapolis (no stranger to snow) asked me why we do this and I didn’t have an answer. I just don’t get that as it seems these snow business have created reasons for businesses to spent more money on facility maintenance. It’s like there’s a gravel cartel running snow maintenance in this city.

See Locke’s post about slipping and falling in a parking lot.

Yeah, I don’t think Minneapolis gets freeze/thaw cycles that make streets and sidewalks into skating rinks continuously during winter.

That happened to my dad eight years ago... his foot was facing the wrong direction after it happened.

Fortunately, I had bought him an Xbox with PGA Tour '15 for his birthday that year; a timely gift.

Slipping and falling is an age marker - if you’re young everyone laughs, when you’re old everyone asks if how you are.
