I think he's more on the "disinformation means more engagement and more $$" train, which he's probably always wanted to be on but now is the popular option.

Adding Dana White to the board and donating to the Trump inauguration fund are either signs he's turning right, or just wants to be seen as favourable to keep the spotlight off of Meta. Not sure which.
I suspect Bezos donated for that latter reason, not convinced on Zuckerberg.
Some of y'all gotta relax a little bit. Clearly buddy is a dumb dumb who attempts to negotiate via the time honoured tradition of leading with an insane ask (we'll take over Greenland! And the Panama Canal! And Canada will be the 51st state!) with the goal of claiming victory eventually when some other minor unrelated thing takes place. It's the same idiot thing he did with Mexico trying to claim a victory for something that was already in the works. The US is not starting an armed conflict with a member NATO nation and their closest trading partner over these statements. As much as this president would like to be he is not in fact an emperor. Gonna give yourselves brain bleeds losing your minds over this stuff every day for four years.

Fine. If it happens it's literally WWIII and none of this message board stuff matters. Enjoy that because if the US decides that's what it's gonna do no one outside of China has a chance to actually stop them. Focus on the stuff that matters like how the house approved a bill allowing the deportation of undocumented immigrants who are charged, not convicted, of nonviolent crimes. Thats something worth getting up in arms over.
I know it is not real, but the 51st state stuff actually pisses me off, but I'm not focused on it because it won't happen.
What I am focused on is the tariffs. As recently as yesterday he affirmed he plans to proceed with the tariffs. My business will suffer immensely, but as consumers, both Americans and Canadians will get ####ed when Canada institutes retaliatory tariffs.

All these recent interviews and Fox news promoting Imperialism and taking over Canada forcibly, and that it would be a privilege to be part of the States. I get it's kind of tongue in cheek, but at the same time, I don't doubt there is actual sentiment from some MAGA people for it to happen.
It does sound scarily like Nazi Germany taking over Poland or Japan invading China / Korea. You look back in history and wonder how the German population let the Nazis do what they do. Well, the MAGA side is proving once again how that could actually happen quite easily.

You have to live in a complete fantasy land to think any of this is funny or okay to comment on. Legitimately scary stuff. Like Russia threatening Ukraine…. And China threatening Taiwan. This #### is actually going down. These comments are just testing the waters/watering down the narrative so that it’s less shocking when it happens.
I think the "joke" has gone on long enough for everyone to recognize it isn't just a joke. You have to know that he's seen what his old pal Vladimir is doing and has had earnest conversations behind closed doors about what annexing Canada, Greenland, etc. would look like.
I'm not saying it's ever going to happen, but according to accounts this dummy had to be held back from all kinds of his worst instincts during his first term. He's now purged the dissidents and surrounded himself with sycophants.
It's very unlikely he pushes for any kind of true invasion/annexation, but his presidency is not going to be kind to Canada. Buckle up, buckaroos.
