You seem to jump through hoops to blame huska for reasons unknown. Can only assume you're still pissy about your coaching choice being passed over?

This team is so offensively challenged, it's mind boggling. Have we ever had this much difficulty putting pucks in the net consistently?

“Dig Deep!”

I don’t know if inside joke, but I cringe every-time Abbott says it!

Dumb question: do any of these repetitive gambling ads work?

In over 13 minutes of ice time Sharangovich doesn't even have a shot on goal. Guy has been a major disappointment this year.

The Flames have played more than 6 periods in Vegas since they last scored a goal. Their last goal in Vegas was at the 17:09 mark of the second period in their game last January 13.

Definitely, but I still believe had the Flames outbid Vegas, Stone would have signed here.

On the Eichel front, I wonder what the offer was that made us the runner-up. Nothing concrete has ever come out, and I still don’t think Tkachuk was part of it. I hope we find out one day.

That’s behind us though, and as far as attracting players to Calgary the new arena will help, but you’re right - and the best shot we’ll have to win on stuff like free agent signings (like VGK did with Pieterangelo) will be to draft players that other players WANT to play with. That has to be the focus for Conroy right now.

And, in fact, the current SC champions have exactly 5 guys whom they drafted on their roster including the back up G.

They have geographic advantages to get guys to play for them obviously but there are different ways to build a winner that include draft and develop but always have components of trades and signings as, if not more, important.

At this point it would be nice to see Huska try to mix up a line to create some offense.

That behind the net camera angle is super cool, don’t know why tv stations don’t use it more during power plays.

Maybe not this site in its current incarnation, but Fire On Ice has been around that long.
