Clear penalty taking down Pelletier. No call.

Which is such an odd thing for the home team to do because it just inflates the other team's save percentage and reduces your own shooting percentage.

I'm much happier with Millen, not everything is sunshine and rainbows that should be marginalized.
Still seems that Abbott still has in game brain lapses and misses some things or is much too late.

You know the bummer thing about Sportsnet broadcasts?
They're robotic. Even when there's 'chemistry' it's just inside jokes without much engagement for fans. It's a bad production, and generally always has been. We were lucky it got carried by Ball for the last few years, as he's legitimately excellent at his specific craft of PBP.
Now? These guys may as well by AI voices, because it's just generic rubbish. "This is a sentence of things about topic A and topic B", 10 minutes later: "This is again Topic A like I said!"
No one involved in Flames broadcasts at this point are excellent at their craft. Could be that's just what a market our size can allow from a budget perspective, but I don't buy it. I think Rogers has fumbled every aspect of their broadcasts since they got the contract, and limited their financial upside and that limits the money available - and what is available, gets spent on ridiculously stupid stuff like Ron MacLean's salary.

Kuzmenko has eight power play goals in the last two years. He barely deserves to be in the lineup, much less power players time. An NHL team has never worked with a one dimensional "specialist".

When I see a Blackhawks broadcast I hear Ball and feel nostalgic, we were spoiled. Thankfully, Abbott isn't too bad

and perhaps he'll develop and will become more than what he is now, but right now he's just generic.

He has barely played in the past two years. How many has Pospisil had? Or even Coleman. You jump through those hoops though to defend Huska.

Ryan Leslie is fantastic IMO. He's easily the best aspect of the SNET Flames broadcasts. Things would improve dramatically if they actually put some resources into giving Leslie a post game show instead of cutting back to the desk to show Oilers highlights.

Definitely can't disagree with that - should have specified more in regards to the on-ice action.
Yeah the complete lack of post-game coverage on Sportsnet is baffling. I really wish the Flames would move away from Rogers and go to a Flames specific subscription, or at least offer it as an "or" option. I understand that market-size may make such a subscription not work as their only option, but...there has to be something better than what we get with Rogers.

I have a ton of respect for Leslie, the stories he told on the Fan after Gaudreau’s passing and the composure he had is so commendable. Hope he makes a full career here in Calgary.

Gotta disagree here. Daniel Sprong springs to mind as a recent example of a guy who was almost exclusively a 4th line-PP1 guy in Seattle. Plenty of guys stay in the league as defensive specialists who can win important draws and/or kill penalties, even though they are basically bereft of offence. Heck, Calgary employs Kevin Rooney to be that guy as we speak (even though I personally don't think he's good enough at those facets of the game to necessarily warrant a spot, but the team lacks centers and I digress).
