The last few players we reigned in went to Florida and now have rings. Maybe Zayne can join them since we want our players to be robots.

Parekh isn’t a kid who’s going to talk in hockey cliches and give you the same ol’ answers that all the kids do who’ve been groomed by agents etc.
His whole career he’s been outspoken and honest and he calls it like it is.
Dino’s comparison to Tkachuk is very accurate, both guys are very skilled and outspoken and aren’t going to sugar coat anything. I don’t know about you guys but I much rather hear the kids speak their mind than some sort of PR line they’ve been fed to share.
Parekh didn’t do anything terrible, he’s clearly got a chip on his shoulder and voiced his opinion, one that almost every hockey mind has shared thus far. That being there’s 4-5 kids sitting at home right now that should have been absolute locks for Canada.

I don’t see any issue with Parekh’s perspective here, especially if he uses it as motivation.

Evander Kane is a piece of #### and there are a number of examples of him acting as such. Nobody should be comparing Zayne Parekh to Evander Kane.

There are not many examples of players #### talking in hockey in public. I am not even convinced that Parekh liked the posts but Evander Kane is an example of a player who routinely #### talks other teams in public. Tkachuk is another one. Don’t know of many others off the top of my head.

Can you show us Parekh #### talking Team Canada ? It’s a like.
When him or Tkachuk start posting pictures of stacks of money or get terminated by a team for being a piece of crap, sexual assault cases, bribing women to get abortions we can use Kane as a comparison.

Unconscionable is probably code in executive speak for idiotic.
Canada should leave Makar at home in February.
I see the States took Buium. Why did they do that? That guy sucks.
I like Canada’s strategy of making people play in roles they aren’t used to, like how they took Bonk and Dickinson who play on the same team, and Dickinson is the Knights’ PP specialist so of course Canada makes Bonk take that role. Makes sense.
Sometimes doing the obvious is the right thing to do.
It’s actually quite easy to choose and run a team Canada. It’s actually kind of impressive how badly these guys ####ed it up.

I said it in the WJC thread, but the enormous chip on Parekh's shoulder is one of his best qualities, and should serve him well in the future.

It's not even code. It's a dollar-and-a-half word for ‘WTF?!’
Oxford Dictionary tells me the word is derived (irregularly) from ‘conscience’. As in, ‘If you even had a conscience you would not do this thing.’ It goes beyond idiocy and into actual malice.
Since Hockey Canada is supposed to make its best effort to assemble a winning team for this tournament, I think ‘unconscionable’ is a fair word to describe the way they went about picking some of their players. It's like they would rather buff their own egos than win.

I see Canada’s replacing Matthew Schaefer with Sawyer Mynio, a 19 year old, 2023 3rd rounder, with 19 points in 18 games in his draft +2 season. Mynio had 31 points in 68 games in his draft season.

Nothing to see here, absolutely no bias.
He’s 19 so he’s clearly the better choice.
Canada has Akey, he’s the pinnacle of offence, that’s exactly who they need.
I would thoroughly love to know who exactly selected this team, and go through the list one by one and explain why. Then I’d like to hear why they held off at least 5+ top players who would be offensive threats which is what Canada is lacking.
