Sorry, that was a general comment, not directed at you specifically. Sorry. I've seen a few comments on the net giving the kid grief over posting a Hughes video. I don't get it.

Honestly if Parekh does not make the Flames next year and is in the minors it would be hilarious if he liked a tweet where the Flames lost. One should expect that if you don’t deliver.

I doubt the like is even real, if it is I expect he got a call from Flames brass pretty quickly.

The problem is clearly Hockey Canada and the backwards decision making that goes into roster selection.

Everyone knows it, it's completely suffocating the discussion about the tournament, every comment on social media talks about all the guys who should be there.

So why do fans simultaneously scan social media to make sure the guys left off the roster are reacting like "good boys". We all know Hockey Canada has their head up their ass and is doing a bad job

OK but that's not realitistic to fly a guy in who hasn't practiced and been off for Christmas.

I wondered what the reaction was going to be like here.

Honestly, what Parekh did was not much. He just comes off as one of those Kadri/Tkachuk types that speak their mind and rub people off the wrong way sometimes.

He might do something similar to the Flames some day. A parting shot or something if he gets traded or gets cut. Hope people are as open to him then as they are now.

Parekh doesn't come across as the most mature guy in the world.

Mynio hasn't played either - his last actual game was Dec 8th. He's been skating with the team, but not playing, other than a couple pre-tournament games.

Parekh's last game was the 20th

If we trade him and its clearly a dumb move on our behalf I hope he does the same

I can see how people would interpret it that way, but I actually think it's the opposite - he is a very cerebral guy, as well as being passionate and driven, and as a result, he has more to say than the typical 18yo jock.

Being with the team in Ottawa and practicing and playing pre tournament is a huge difference.

Highly doubt the Flames brass is calling him about an innocent like lmao. If they do they should do it from a cave.

Just like the sens don’t care that Yakemchuck did the same. Staios even commented on the crappy picks they made for the team leaving him off.

If I had graduated high school at 15 and was attending classes at U of T while putting up eye popping numbers in the OHL at 17~ I'd have a bit of an ego too

I’ve been told that Calgary was equally shocked that Parekh was left off.
Craig didn’t come out and blast it in the media but flames brass were very puzzled.

No reason for him to throw shade at the team really, so not going to defend him. But I’m far more interested in what he does on the ice and really that’s the best way for him to prove any point he might want to make.

It helps for sure. But you suggested Parekh and others aren't playing, when in reality, they have been playing more than him.

Peak sensitivity. Team Canada's roster choices are underwhelming to say the least and they should feel bad for constructing an offensively anemic squad. There are 3-4 other guys that arguably have an even better case than Parekh for being on this roster and are not.
