I'm trying to think of the last post I made advocating for something "woke," although I'm betting Lanny would struggle to define that one as well. He seems like a big Bill Maher guy.

Although I had wished for Harris to have won the election, I am stunned at how many mistakes the Democrats made yet again in this election. It was mistake after mistake after mistake.

Harris didn't really run any sort of woke campaign but the policies she pursued prior to her being the nominee, while VP and as a Senator are very well known. The Democrats and a lot of progressive ideas that are outside of the mainstream thought have come back to bite them badly and now internally there is debate and about this and that. She really didn't have any sort of counter to that.

There was an ad campaign that ran during the campaign for Trump that showed Harris openly talking about gender surgery for inmates in prison. That ad is being talked about as being a game changing ad in a tight election. The Democrats couldn't come up with a proper response because the response tested so poorly the strategy was to take the political beating instead of "offending" people on the left and enraging Republican's even more.

Democrats and Liberals in America need to have a serious internal look at what has happened to their party. Democrats have allowed such a beatable person in Trump to take over the Washington twice. They have done so poorly in so many areas it's shocking.

The piece posted earlier about the lack of give a **** factor with the Teamster's Union is indicative of how badly run the Democrats are. They still can't understand why Obama voters in rustbelt states voted strongly for a 3rd time for Trump.

Out of the almost two million people imprisoned in American only two inmates have ever received gender affirming care...so yes, transphobia and hysteria worked very well for the Trump.

Democrats need to stop playing to the middle and trying to court the right (Cheney), actually go left with social policies (you know health care) and they might make up ground.

I mean Trump didn't even get 50% of the vote but okay

he won fair and square but some things are being overstated...he was the challenger to a perceived bad economy and record inflation. Trump won ONE demographic, uneducated whites. Trump being crap is what kept it close if we are being honest.

Yeah, Trump’s heavy focus on identity politics while Harris basically avoided anything do to with anything in that realm as much as possible helped sink the Dems. The right is fighting a culture war and winning because the Dems refuse to meaningfully engage in that conversation.

A Texas school district has reportedly been forced to remove copies of the Bible after a new state law banned books that were "sexually explicit." It was revealed in an email from Canyon Independent School District Superintendent Darryl Flusche, that the holy book had been deemed unsuitable due to "sexually explicit material."

Wasn’t Harris’ big mistake the issue regarding the border? I mean, regardless of the actual track record during Biden’s term, Harris was extremely wishy washy with her border and immigration language, this was easily showcased during the debates with Trump and JD Vance. I think that, in part, lost her the election. She never really dived into the topic. Trump did, albeit in a disgusting way, but I think it was clear that it won him votes.
