100%. Of course we all know that it’s a leader’s job to push his teammates to be better, but I really think (and I’m basing this off of seeing him in interviews as well) that Miller is just a d**khead. If he’s willing to act the way he did in the videos I posted in front of the fans and all the cameras rolling, just think of how he acts in the dressing room when nobody but the team is around.
It’s not like JT is perfect either, I’m sure we’ve all seen him make mistakes on the ice. And none of his teammates seem to need a mid-season sabbatical like the one he took a few weeks ago…

Miller is a loser. Vancouver would be dumb to dump Elias and keep the grandpa. Hopefully they trade Elias.

I feel like in the end it's going to be tough for the Canucks to win a trade where Pettersson is involved, it's like the Tkachuk and Eichel trades.
For Miller I feel like him being 32 years old before the end of the season and coming off a career high 103 points that you might actually have a chance to really fleece a team in that deal where a team makes a short term decision but the Canucks win long term.

Miller must have a complete NMC though I’d imagine. And with all this talk of him being a complete dick, I’d imagine he’d use that to its full advantage to be a complete dick.
So there won’t be much return in a trade on him.
If I was Vancouver Id be moving him to Drury and the rangers quickly for a Krieder straight up. Shake up, he get to go to New York, and be done with it.

I would dump Pettersson. He's very skilled but isn't a player that can win. He has no heart and is useless in the playoffs. Miller is a more effective player.
If you can move Pettersson to a place like Buffalo and get back one of their D like Byram and a forward.. That's a win in my opinion. I have to admit I'm bias as I really think Petterson is terrible. Not a team player at all.
I don't think I really need to say this as it should be clear from my message.. I would NOT want Pettersson in Calgary:
I do not like green eggs and ham,
I do not like them, Sam-I-Am.
I would not like Pettersson here,
I would not like him, far or near.
I would not like him in this town,
I would not like him up or down.
I would not like him in Calgary, Sam,
I would not like Pettersson—I am who I am!

Boy I hope Vancouver moves Pettersson. Would completely sewer them and send them spiralling toward a rebuild. That isn't a player you can just replace.

He's played two playoffs one of which was over a point per game.

I would love to get Pettersson. Doubt the Flames have the pieces but I would do a package around Andersson for sure to get him. Maybe Rasmus and the Devils 1st gets it done if they are desperate to move him.

Even if the Flames had the pieces, would the canucks trade Petterson to one of their most bitter rivals? I highly doubt it.

I’d move Miller. I think pettersson has more room to improve, better age vs contract, and if you keep Miller then he’ll just repeat this routine with another player in the locker room.
Wait did I say move Miller? Sorry I meant Vancouver should move Pettersson. Definitely move Pettersson.

Just watched the interview with Miller and it was pretty funny. Basically was like uhh yeah completely made up story here Pettey and I are fine and I can go get him and we can come do the interview together. Zero issue and this is a media thing here so you guys can go make up whatever you want but it isn’t reality (I’m paraphrasing but that’s my takeaway of what he said).
Kind of funny. Seems like a media made drama that doesn’t really exist. Spent about 95% of the interview talking about how he, himself, needs to be better and he made a couple mistakes last game.

Actions speak louder than words. Anyone can go in front of cameras after being called out and say what they want to defuse the situation (and were likely explicitly instructed to). Way too much smoke and video evidence over the years.

They already have the same record as the Flames...at the end of their rebuild

I was the first one to throw a wet blanket on the prospect of having Krebs here when rumours started up a few years back, but now I'm kinda wondering if a change would work wonders for him, and if coming home would be even better.
-his last two seasons in the WHL (after being drafted) were 60 points in 38 games (48 assists), and 43 points in 24 games (30 assists). Obviously, he had some injury issues, but those are big numbers in ppg.
-He has 25 points in 25 AHL games (20 assists), with 11 assists in 10 AHL Playoff games.
-He had 22 points in 48 NHL games with the Sabres in 2021-22.
He will never score many goals, as he's a pure playmaker and as such, he won't put up any points playing in Buffalo's bottom-6. He needs wingers that he can get the puck to in advantageous situations. He's an excellent skater, and plays with a big chip on his shoulder- he's a little mean at times, but also highly skilled. Plus, he's not a bad two-way player.
I want to make it clear that this is not a big endorsement of the player, but maybe there's a chance he could turn things around.

If the cost was right he would be great playing between Zary and Sharangovich.

I know this doesn’t move the needle much for some people here but I believe Kerbs is very well liked by his teammates. I can’t remember specifically who said this, maybe Bukula, but Kerbs was ‘the glue guy’ in the room when he played WJC.
By no means do I think Kerbs answers the 1C role but he could be a very valuable middle six guy for years. If there’s a deal there, I think it’s worth the gamble.

I really like Zary at center so hopefully it’s more of a case of Krebs centering another line. In an ideal scenario after the rebuild is complete, I think Zary develops into your 2nd line center that plays in all situations. The flames haven’t really solidified any young players to be the future 1st or 3rd line centres. My hope is that the 2026/2027 drafts fill the spot of the future 1st line centre but a guy like Krebs could become a good 3rd line centre or, at worst, a really good 4th line centre. Would be open to trading for him if the price was not too high. Kakko returned little in trade so I don’t think Krebs should cost much.
