I missed the game last night and was opening to see more discussion here about Pelletier's game but Darren Haynes had a good write-up about it.

En route to playing 13:18, the most ice time he’s logged in an NHL game the past two seasons, Pelletier was especially noticeable in the first period. In particular, he packed a little bit of everything into an impressive 28-second shift halfway through the opening period in which he showcased his upside and the impact he is capable of.

It was the allegation that Flames fans boo when Vladar plays that got me. Probably meant it to be a compliment to Wolf and how we love him, but guy is a clueless bozo.

The comments from Bieksa and McLean set a ew low for being oblivious and obtuse towards a Canadian market. If you don't know what you're talking a out, don't say anything - talking out of your ass is the worst thing someone in their position can do.

Bieksa will try and take credit too when he realizes the crowd does howl for Wolf.

100% he will.

Fortunately, it would require him watching a Flames game - no risk of that until they play the Canucks

It’s a great example of how poor the Sportsnet broadcast is - especially when it’s HNIC and it isn’t either the leafs or the oilers. It’s like none of the talking heads from Sportsnet have watched a single game for the flames.

Compare that to the Amazon broadcasts for the flames games and you can tell the broadcasters have been watching the two featured teams diligently for weeks in preparation.

The trade proposal was to attain McTavish from Anaheim. You do that every day of the week, although Anaheim likely wouldn't on their end, even with the late first being proposed as well. You're misinterpreting him being put into a trade proposal as fans wanting to trade him or not understanding his value and potential. Conroy is rumored to be attempting to acquire a young centre, one of the most expensive pieces. There will 100% be a big name, young Flames player going the other way that fans won't want to give up.

Flames will hold down that 9th spot like their lives depend on it.

4 shutout at home now for the Flames. It's a tough way to have to play, but when they execute it can work.

Coleman a beast on that second goal. Highlights really need to show the 10 seconds before when three guys took runs at him in the neutral ice, and he bounced off them all and joined the rush.

Knight fluffed in that one, as he did the third, but that second goal was the sealer.

Agreed - If nothing else, Coronato Is a legitimate Middle-6 NHL forward. He should be one for the next decade.

For a 12th overall pick or whatever he was, that’s a success.

Ditto for Zary.

They can both play, and they aren’t going anywhere.

Just don’t bank on them being your mail carriers.

He's also leading the team in +/-
I mean a lot of that is Backlund, but from my eye test Coronato is getting at least as many touches as his linemates if not more, and being a line driver.

Probably the only forward on the team that can actually shoot the puck in the net. Gets better every game.

Exactly the guy you want to get rid of
