I mean it was a new thread with everyone clearly talking about tonight's game. I'm sure you knew that, so the "why are we talking about a different game" did come off a little sarcastic/unnecessary. And it wasn't really a pissy response at all, imo. Cheese is awesome, he puts in a ton of effort and content for games.

Nice to see a bounce-back game like this. Flames really stayed on the Panthers all game and didn't give up too much. Wolf was solid. They hit 3 posts, but I think only one of those 3 showed that there was room between the post and Wolf. He made the saves that he needed to make, and everyone played well in front of him.

I wasn't being sarcastic though, and genuinely wondering why are people discussing tonight's game in a Preds game thread, especially there is another Flames vs Panthers PGT thread. But now that I've looked at it again, I probably should have check the date. It's just his "move on" kinda touch a nerve. But it's all good now.

Oh yeah it's all good. You're a great poster, I was just needlessly commenting as per my role on CP. ;)

Wolf deserves a ton of credit, obviously. But Connor Zary is such a good hockey player. Even when he isn’t putting up points, his impact on games is huge. He’s such a cerebral player. I love that kid. I hope he’s a Flame for 15 years

Just keep those forward lines for a while, please.
Also, I liked Weegar on the right. I’m wondering if a younger LHD could be brought up to take Hanley’s spot?
|
Hanley was really good tonight. Him and Weeger looked like they've been playing together al year.

Flames had tons of jump, and had the better chances all night - well deserved win. Pretty easy night for Wolf for the 1st 2 periods, but he had to earn it in the 3rd - really solid game for him.
Bahl was good again. So was Hanley and Weegar. Backlund's line was fantastic - why were they ever separated? Kadri's line was good as well.

Always enjoy waking up to a W, and even more so when it's a shutout. Way to go, Flames!

Wolf was crazy dialed in last night, that play where he stripped Rodriguez who had a golden opportunity in the slot was an early sign that Wolf wasn't going to give the Panthers anything. Great bounce back game.

They were separated because Huska isn't a good coach.

I am happy for Wolf but on the other hand I am fully expecting this team to finish exactly where they are in the standings right now. That is such a Flames thing to do.

Have to hope some mid to late season trades hinder their ability to win and they fall down the standing.

Also really liked Pelletier’s game. He was aggressive on the forecheck and was creating chances - especially in the first 2 periods (the bench was shortened a bit in the 3rd).
