Top 10 movie of all time for me.

I also watched Once Upon a Time In the West for the first time this year. It is a masterpiece. Throughout I kept thinking “why does this guy keep playing the same s*** two notes on the harmonica” only to be slapped with what might be the best ending of all time.
10/10

The Apple is a cocaine fueled disco musical that is so bad it's great. This would be a blast watching it in a theater. The film was released in 1980 and takes place in 1994 where a couple from Moose Jaw enter the world music competition and while they don't win they get signed to a deal by a nefarious music producer. In this musical we go to hell where the singers are tempted by the Apple from Adam and Eve, we also get a song about sex called coming and if I gave you 1000 guesses you would never guess how it ends. This should be way more popular, one of the best worst movies ever. Not going to lie the songs are super catchy too.

People talk up the Eastwood movies that Leone did but OUATITW blows them out of the water IMO. Just filmmaking brilliance and one of only a very few Westerns that actually has a theme deeper than "this is a movie about revenge" or some such superficial slop (although it obviously also does the revenge thing perfectly well)

The Casa Bonita documentary was quite entertaining. I knew nothing about that place before South Park, but now I want to plan a trip to Colorado just to go there with my kids. It also reaffirmed my view of Matt & Trey as personal heroes. 30 years working together, no serious drama or animosity, and they still care about making great entertainment as much as they did when they started
And seeing Trey actually put that prospector animatronic in a Farrah Fawcett t-shirt was the biggest unexpected laugh I've had in a while

My family lived in Denver from 1981-'87, and we used to go to Casa Bonita all the time when I was a kid. It was a magical place. I knew that Parker and Stone had bought it recently, but I didn't know they made a documentary about it. I'll definitely check it out.

I'll have to look that up. Lived in Denver for a few years and it was well known but not that busy. Very kitschy decor, fun for families but it wasn't good Texmex food.

I watched Brothers on Amazon Prime with Josh Brolin, Peter Dinklage, Glenn Close and Brendan Fraser.
How could I lose with a cast like that?
I don't understand why this movie was made, why these people agreed to it, and what this story was really about.
It's a bit of a mess with a VOD vibe to it. Overly convoluted, scenes for exposition mostly to drive plot forward. Good performances and one hilarious scene with an ape.
But please skip if you're tempted.

I like when somebody is about to give their two cents on a movie, but they start by calling it a film. I instantly know I can disregard anything else they're about to say.

You can probably already guess how the film goes and how it ends and it doesn't do anything drastically different than most hang out films. But I found the cast charming and genuine and I really enjoyed it, it was a cozy movie. It's also a very mature film dealing with at times heavy topics but it balances it well with humor used throughout. If you are tired of the same holiday films, and want something you probably haven't seen before give this 90s hidden gem a spin.

I saw this at the Plaza movie theatre when it came out
Great little movie

For me, cinematography is one of the most ambiguous film terms that people can use to sound smart.
Where do you land on motion picture?
