I'm 100% certain I've seen that same kind of outstretched pad save where the pad was forced in by the opponent's stick and getting called back.
Might be back in the late-Kipper times but I remember a play like that being disallowed.

Parayko hit the puck, Vladar saved it, then Parayko pushed his pad into the net. That is exactly what the rule says should be disallowed
|
My replies are getting lost here, but I think they interpreted that play as a loose puck in the goal crease and the goalie and puck did not go in "together". Therefore, incidental contact is allowed.
I can see the other side for sure, but that's how I think they interpreted the play

he made a save and then got pushed in, and being pushed in is what causes the goal

Explain, please. I'm not understanding what you're saying here.

How's that incidental. His stick isn't even in a shooting position to strike the puck, it's directed at the pad in a jabbing motion.

exactly
there is nothing 'incidental' about the contact - he hits the puck, Vladar saves it, then he pushes - pushes, not incidentally contacts - the pad into the net

Probably highway robbery. But oh well. They played well.
Comes down to the same thing each game though.
Tons of shots. Dozens of chances. 3 goals or less. Every single time.
If you don’t like the refs deciding it. Score more f’ing goals.

We need AI to take over this role to take human subjectivity and bias out of it.

How is it any different if you use your body to hit the goalie out of the way or if you choose to joust with your stick to move him out of the way?

That's actually a valid interpretation given how it's worded.
It's pretty stupid that it's that vague given what we all know is the intent. If he's not pushed into net he makes the save. That should be the line regarding incidental contact.

I don't know if he's bipolar, or just gets hammered sometimes, or what, but every once in a while he just goes completely off the deep end

I think that was a good goal.
People smarter than me can debate the ruling but I just saw a guy making a play on a loose puck.

It's usually in a PGT after a loss. Some sort of coping mechanism perhaps.
Well deserved TO IMO
