I guess it will depend a lot on how his recovery goes. He's an upcoming UFA and the type of guy the Flames likely want to keep in the organization, so he still has an outside shot of a contract like the one you are proposing.
Think he might have gotten a $1.5 x 3 years if he hadn't been hurt and kept up his scoring pace though.

Tough break for the guy. Everyone loves an underdog.
That said, he's the type of tweener depth player you don't overpay or sign long term, even if it's minuscule compared to others.

Unlike Mantha I hope Conroy circles back to Kirkland with another contract. Good spark plug player with size who deserves at least another one year deal.

MMF is the tough as nails cop that "plays by his own rules". The force keeps suspending him when he crosses the line but he keeps coming back and then cracks a big case.

That really sucks, usually with tweeners like him, injuries like this are the end of their NHL career.
Silver lining, at least he got injured in the show and is going to make his big boi salary for the year. Some scenario where he got sent down and got injured in the A, he would be way worse off.

But I also agree, the guy just got his shot and he shot it and shot it well.
It sucks to see it happen to a journeyman guy finally getting his break.

Weird. Kind of like Mantha. I didn’t remember seeing any sort of big incident that could have led to a wrecked knee.
He fell funny after that one faceoff. But it didn’t seem that bad.
Guess it’s an opportunity for Duehr and Pelletier. I think Klapka’s days are numbered.
