Ha
Stauffer is paid by the oilers. Anything that comes out of his mouth is straight from Katz and Lowe

Unfortunately true. He's doing the best he can, but he's not the player he was and he is having terrible trouble clicking with linemates. Chemistry is incredibly important to someone who's primarily a playmaker.

Oilers are getting the backups. That tells you everything you need to know.

Must be why the Oilers are getting the backups then eh.
Looks like the pastries are getting to his brain.
Going to the SC final then a few months later already being seen as the easier two points in Alberta must be doing a number on their egos.

Just watched the game back and really thought we were going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, but we came good in the skills comp.
So much to like about this team, really working hard, smothers the other team on numerous occasions, youngster (Zary, Coranato) contributing on a nightly basis, such fun to watch.
Vladar had a great game with some key saves, two late goals suck but neither really his fault.
Not sure why some are bitching on Huberdeau after that game, he was involved all night long. Winning board battles, make passes and going to the net, had some good chances.
Biggest disappoinment of the night for me was Kadri. In fact when he was first out there for OT, I thought 'well there goes that game'. Seems to be making lots of errors, giving the puck away, needs to be better imo.
Overall a great game from the Flames, off to the road trip.

Upcoming road trip looks to have a lot of winnable games. There are no easy outs in the league. But win 3 of 4 on this trip and the Flames could be a top 4 teams at American Thanksgiving.
It’ll be interesting to see what that does to the whole rebuild strategy. Do you keep trading away all of your good players when you have sort if achieved your goal of getting younger, more competitive and restocking the shelves? Seems counter intuitive.

Kadri stayed out overly long in OT; passing up obvious opportunities to change. It was somewhat lucky that the Wild didn't take advantage of the situation with their fresher legs.

Kadri’s slap-pass to Pospisil was maybe the play of the game, but a typical knee-jerk reaction to Huberdeau hate is to counter with Kadri hate. I admit Kadri isn’t playing up to his level last season (probably our best forward last season) but he’s not playing terrible, give the guy a break, he’ll def get better.
Also Huberdeau is never going to be a 10.5M dollar player, so everyone needs to let that go but this is by far the most comfortable and best he’s looked as a flame. He wins so many board battles and 50/50 pucks, his strength is truly underrated. Zary’s always looked good this season but since playing with Hubie, he looks even better, yet everyone wants to hate on Hubie? You don’t think he’s a factor in that.
We’re a cap floor team that’s fighting for the division and it’s nearly December, what an amazing season so far!

Kadri was very less shoot oriented yesterday. I needed him to hit 2+ shots to get my prop parlay and so I watched him very closely. He ended with 1…
Almost seemed he was told to pass more.

Not sure I would call it play of the game but a great pass none the less, but that to me was essentialy all he did all game.
My dislike for Kadri's play so far this season has nothing to do with Huberdeau, not sure how you tied those two together from what I wrote?

It sure looks like the Rangers threw everything they had at the Oilers last night...I guess the Flames should also send a gift basket to the Oilers for kneeing Kaprizov to take him out of the game yesterday.

Think this is why Kadri and Weegs seemed to get into it a bit as the team saluted the crowd?
At the end of the broadcast you could see Weegs say something and Kadri give him a good shove

There are a number of forwards squeezing their sticks a bit too hard and possibly trying to do too much.

Truculent!

Anyone see the little pushing interaction that Kadri and Weegar had at the end of the last game?
Bit odd. Didn't seem friendly.
