You're not wrong, but that's not a bad thing. Have you seen all the others? I find the MI movies fascinating. One was so small and cool, 2 went off the deep end, and 3 killed it with Hoffman as perhaps the best bad guy ever.
I became indifferent after that until I had kids who demanded to see them all, and suddenly I realized I love them all. Every single MI movie since 2 is absolutely phenomenal imo.
Yeah it's just that latest one I hadn't watched. I love all of them. What I liked about the first 5 is they all had different directors showcasing their distinctive style. Since McQuarrie took over they've felt the same and not as interesting IMO.
It's hard to choose my favourite between 1, 3 and 4.
As much as Malek resembled Freddie Mercury, Taron Edgerton has to be Scott Weiland in any biopic (if he was famous enough to deserve a biopic). It's uncanny that I think its him whenever I see him.

My guess: the twist is that the wife isn't really dead.
She is in witness protection because he is actually a serial killer that has been using CIA resources to cover his tracks until one day he slips up and his wife finds out.

HTTYD is about as perfect as an animated children's film gets. This looks like a virtual 1 to 1 remake but with less expressive human characters. The dragons even look the exact same.
Why?

Dreamworks saw the billions being raked in by Disney with their live action remakes and wanted a piece of the pie. Live action Shrek is next!
