And he won't be able to cause the GOP will block him at every turn to protect their business interest friends. Worth remembering that despite being an insane person he is closer to being a left winger than a righty.
RFK Jr. is the personification of the "loony left".
It is just so on brand for the GOP to throw tantrums over these people and then place one in the cabinet.

Remember when they talked #### about Michelle Obama for “telling us what to eat” when she promoted healthy eating? Are those same people now supporting RFK Jr?

The r/conservative sub is having a pissing match over this EXACT thing.
Seems like most people in the sub are enthusiastic about the appointment, while some argue the same thing you did re: Michelle Obama.
They seem to be getting shouted down.

I wouldn’t read it for his insights into public health policy any more than I would read Ted Kacynski’s treatise on urban planning or L. Ron Hubbard’s thoughts on mental health.
Seems a bit closed minded to me. If you're going to judge someone and take a hard stance on them you should probably research with an open mind first. Its easy to read a couple headlines or articles that confirm what you'd like to believe. I honestly thought it was an interesting read. I'm not going to just accept everything he says as truth but at the same time I do think there is definitely food for thought there. I'm sure you would to if you actually read it with an open mind.
Rexhinaldo Nazarko, executive director of the American Muslim Engagement and Empowerment Network (AMEEN), said Muslim voters had hoped Trump would choose Cabinet officials who work toward peace, and there was no sign of that.
"We are very disappointed," he said. "It seems like this administration has been packed entirely with neoconservatives and extremely pro-Israel, pro-war people, which is a failure on the on the side of President Trump, to the pro-peace and anti-war movement."
Nazarko said the community would continue pressing to make its voices heard after rallying votes to help Trump win. "At least we're on the map."
"It's like he's going on Zionist overdrive," he said. "We were always extremely skeptical...Obviously we're still waiting to see where the administration will go, but it does look like our community has been played."
You only got played because you're a complete ####ing idiot that didn't listen to what Trump was actually promising to do. There's going to be so many leopards eating peoples faces in the next 4 years

Could've picked literally any other Kennedy, almost any other human, or even a potted plant, and they would do a better job than RFK will.
From what I saw he said he's against ultra processed foods which is a good thing. He wants to remove certain chemicals and additives in foods which we know are not healthy. He wants ultra processed foods out of schools. He wants to review pesticide and chemical use in farming which is a major issue. He wants to spend money on preventative health measures which 100% should be done. Diet and exercise definitely need to be better emphasized to improve peoples health span. He wants to focus on diet and exercise as opposed to drugs like Ozempic. The guys 70 and jacked. I don't see any issue with what hes promoting and hes living proof he must know a thing or two.

The clown looks and sounds like he’s gonna take a dirt nap really soon. Just like Von####sinpants…
This guy hacked the head off a dead whale, strapped it to the top of his car, and let the viscera and corpse rot leak all over his children who were in the car with him.
From the same guy who had a worm eat part of his brain and has speculated he got brain damage from it.

If he accomplishes any of that I’ll give him the credit he deserves. Has he mentioned how he’s going to do it? The President loves crappy food, and so do his supporters (his detractors too, but they don’t count). They’re also fans of the free market and personal freedom. Good luck getting them to change or support regulations that affect the food they love.

what will happen is the cost to the US economy, inflation due to higher food prices (healthy food is way way more expensive) job losses etc by doing any of these things would be horrendous and then of course the chance Trump is going to allow billions to be taken out of the pockets of the multi national companies that the GOP represents and fund them is a laughable idea.
So he will gut the oversight on medications and food but not the foods and meds themselves, declare that his job is done and life for the US will get way way more unhealthy

Imagine thinking RFK is jacked at 70 because of "diet and exercise" and not, you know, steroids. And I do not care if he does, to each their own with how you wanna treat your body, but exercise, raw milk, and whale carcasses are not why he looks the way he does. Like a lot of people it's steroids and exercise, but good for him. Maybe he can get Trump on roids and have him slim down and jack up.
