I wonder if Trump really goes through with charging people in government who went against him with treason (Raskin and Cheney for example). Or jailing journalists that spread "fake news" or don't give up their sources of information.

Yeah. So true. Trump is so racist towards Muslims and fully erect for Israel that the Gaza protesters are going to be amazed at how much that situation is going to deteriorate for Palestinians.
Same for environmentalists and 3rd party voters who are liberal but were angry at the Dems.
Although I guess it wouldn't have made a difference. The election wasn't close.

You wonder?
Dude, he thinks the prosecution against him was political. You bet your ass he's going to try to bring charges and lawsuits against everyone who doesn't kiss the ring.
The billionaire owners of the LA Times and Bezos with the Washington Post already bent the knee before the election by overruling their editorial boards and not endorsing Harris knowing how vindictive and petty that POS is.
(the daughter of the LA Times owner said it was because of Harris's position on GAZA! Can you imagine? Hold onto your hat nepo-baby, because that is not going to work out like you hoped!)
Plenty more of that to come.

Trump literally already provided his own version of middle east peace that involves Israel annexing and carving up most of the West Bank:

Trump is not a friend of the Palestinian people.

I suspect sutterbrother misspoke. He meant Trump’s hatred hard on for muslims will help him with escalating and supporting the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people.

Bernie is intelligent and a pragmatist. Is he supposed to endorse no one and drive his huge swaths of supporters towards Trump? He’s not an idiot. He knows Kamala and Biden were weak but better than the only alternative.

Clarified.
The right wing Israeli government will be in no way restrained by the US over the next 4 years.

Bernie's "socialism" would have lost too
Scary thing is the media social and traditional will bend the knee now...nobody is going to speak out against Trump. He will have the propaganda even more so than he does now.

Jill Stein won 22% of the vote in the fiercely contested city of Dearborn, Michigan, according to a projection from NBC.

The city—which Democrat Joe Biden won by a 3-to-1 margin in 2020—has been roiled by political turmoil, with many upset with the Biden-Harris administration's handling of the Israel-Hamas war.

And you know the next plan isn't going to be more favourable to Palestinians. They'll be lucky if they get the same offer, but this time instead of Israel annexing 30% of the WB, it will probably be most of the WB and Gaza (if they want to).

I'm not saying it's a good option at all, it's terrible and will be one of the worst things on Trump's long list of terrible things.
I just can't see any other outcome, are the rest of the world's nations going to increase their support to the same level the US was providing? I just don't see it.

Sometimes "anyone but Trump" really is the right answer.
But adding more Bernie progressive working class aspects to the Democrat platform isn't going to win over Trump supporters to change their votes. If anything, Bernie people make MAGA more aggressive and engaged politically. And if Harris wasn't enough for them to get out and vote at all, then they got the president they deserve.
Bernie and his supporters come across equally as self-righteous as MAGA politicians. Zero self-awareness about the negative impact they have had on the political climate. It's all everyone else's fault to them.
I am also convinced that you could have the best working class platform ever and it wouldn't matter. It seems like a lot of the working class within the MAGA sphere just want a president that can grab them by the ##### and get away with it. The platform is an afterthought because Trump's plans (or conceptions of plans) are completely vapid.

Well lots of thoughts here.
1. If you could predict this scenario the better outcome would’ve been for trump to win in 2020. He’d be done now, we’d probably have a good dem president and wouldn’t have dealt with 12 years of this. Plus he’d have had a dem senate and pence as vice president to slow his roll.
2. The concessions and reaction by Harris, Obama and the dems today was exactly what should be done. Classy, disappointed but not calling into question the outcome. Makes the loss to this idiot even more infuriating.
3. The analysis will take some time but I don’t think there’s much evidence a bunch of Biden voters suddenly thought trump was their guy. Trump isn’t gonna have many more votes than last time. People stayed home, and those people are honestly the worst. I can actually give a bit of credit to the voter who votes for trump because they researched it and liked his policy or something, at least they did something. The people that stayed home because they are upset, or didn’t like their choices get what they deserve here.
4. The fact that a sexual assaulting, race baiting, transphobe, cheating business man, insurrectionest, dictator loving candidate so owns the Republican Party and now the us electorate is something else. We live in the era of reality tv and the us culture brought us the kardashians, and real house wives etc. so I think they think some of this is normal. I just wish they’d own it, say they are ok with those behaviours instead of trying to rationalize it away. Some courage of your convictions that you are ok with that being your leader instead of screaming it’s not true would be refreshing.
Hopefully he is somehow moderated, by someone somewhere, and no liberal judges better retire the next 4 years.

Going centre, centre-right hasn't worked. Maybe try something new.
