Those are a drop in the bucket to the real mistakes.
The Dems lost because a) America is filled with an uneducated electorate who are b) easily swayed by propaganda and fear and c) they nominated a black/brown woman, which is very problematic due in large part because of a) and b).
Trump tapped into fear and hate, which Americans have in spades. Americans got grifted by a grifter. All this nitpicking about the Harris campaign is grasping at straws.
Trump won because he’s the leader Americans want and most identify with. Since Harris will never be Trump, it didn’t matter how perfect her campaign was. Even for a white man it would have been difficult for the Dems to win. The democratic party’s platform doesn’t align with the electorate in its current form.

This is the type of #### Democrats use as copium to avoid looking in the mirror and doing any meaningful self-reflection.

A few days after Donald Trump gave his microphone stand a blow job live on stage the American people spoke and elected him 47th president.

So what is the solution? How does the Democrats reach out? By not calling them uneducated as a start?
This is a new thing. I don't recall an uneducated demographic in say the 2000 election.

Considering the disaster that was 2016-2020, these next four years will be fun with an even more delusional, corrupt buffoon back in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth. Enjoy RFK Jr. deciding what's best for your health and Herschel Walker ready to touchdown that nuclear button.
You ####ed around America and are about to find out how bad Chapter 2 is; buckle up.

I feel like you shouldn’t need a college degree to understand the abortion issue is just objectively bad for your gender though…

A hilarious indictment of exactly why the Dems are losing. Vilifying and insulting anyone who disagrees with you is not the route to government.
I can’t vote in this election and have no axe to grind either way but some of the stuff in the American politics thread is disgraceful and some folks should be ashamed of themselves.

Incumbents are getting rolled all over the developed world. Voters really, really hate inflation - especially after 15 years of extremely low inflation left many with zero real experience with it. Seeing a jug of milk or a Big Mac cost 25 per cent more than it did four years ago makes a far deeper impression on many low-engagement voters than anything Trump says in his rallies.
The other big issue with American voters that the Democrats didn’t have an answer for was border security. It polled as the 2nd or 3rd most important issue with voters for the last couple years (compared with 12th to 15th for Israel/Palestine), and the Biden administration had really low approval ratings on it.

It is, the point I was trying to make was nobody in my social circles were voting Trump in Seattle.
In Arizona, nobody was voting Harris.

Especially when wage growth is so far behind. Same issue in Canada is going to lose it for the Liberals. People are annoyed.

You have to keep in mind Americans vote for the best performance more than they vote for logic, reasons or peer-reviewed facts, even.
Trump just played his angle more convincingly (warts, lies and all), even though the dems had everything else going for them. They were simply worse at engaging the emotions of the undecided voter and tried poorly to beat Trump at his own game.

Self reflection? That what? They should have nominated a white man? Harris is getting annihilated.
The USA is effectively an oligarchy. Trump won’t change inflation or affordability or housing prices.
But he will give them scapegoats. He already has. That was his brilliant campaign strategy and policy. If Americans are dumb and naive enough to believe his BS, they weren’t gonna believe any brilliant policy platform from Harris, especially since we know she’s a slave to her corporate overlords.
Explain how the Harris campaign could reassure Americans that she’d abandon her business daddy and make everything ok? She couldn’t. Because she won’t. Not anymore than Trump will. The difference is Trump was able to blame it on Biden and immigrants. Harris had no scapegoats.
The Trump campaign ran that anti trans campaign commercial about 10000x and it worked. The message was that Harris cares more about scary trans people and rapist immigrants than she does about the economy. The end. She had no defence or way to overcome it.
It’s not her fault the country is overcome with misinformation and uneducated voters.
The Dems made mistakes, no doubt about it. But this is a bloodbath. Even with a perfect campaign, she still loses. Just by a smaller margin.

My math says at 92% of the votes in there are 554k votes remaining and Harris is behind by 221k. So she needs 70% of the remaining vote. They should be calling it.

You do realize that the bolded is exactly what trump has been doing for the last decade and it’s been his exact ‘route to government’ two out of three times?
