I would pass. We can't fit our own deserving players into the lineup yet.

Yea I mean we essentially have a Robertson sitting on the farm right now, technically/statistically better.

Can’t see us wanting another undersized winger at this point.

Thanks. I must have misheard them when they actually said scratched last game. Nonetheless, they seemed to believe he doesn't have a future in Toronto....

Tonight on HNIC during “Headlines”, Friedman mentioned that the Islanders are in need of defence as they have 3 regulars out long term (Romanov, Adam Pelech and Mike Reilly). Might make good trade partners - they have all their picks for 2025 and every pick for 2026 except their 2nd

They don’t have a whole lot of prospects that are of a particular interest, and they aren’t going to part with Eiserman. C Kamil Bednarik would be good, and C Danny Nelson is going to make an excellent 3rd-line C.

I always liked W Simon Holmstrom, but he’s never been able to put up numbers in North America. Oliver Wahlstrom could be an interesting reclamation project, but that might be risky, as he doesn’t look like an NHLer at this point.

Those picks look good though.

Maybe 2 years ago when he showed potential top be a legit top 9 forward.

We have our own guy in Pelletier who should be given that chance.

I'd take a Willem Dufour for a slightly dinged up Barrie. Dufour is a younger, right side Lomberg, who hits anything that moves, and has more scoring ability. He is languishing in the NYI AHL team, and could use a change.

Wonder if Utah would have any interest in a Carcone/Hanley swap

Oh for sure, I forgot about him-I’ve liked him since his junior days. It would be nice to inject more true power into the lineup.

I think he was pretty well spoken actually. He was pretty to the point:
- he and the others on the team all want to be in the city
- if you get rid of him there isn't much there to have in the lineup

Seems like a good argument to make. To me I still think they should sell high, but I'm really concerned about the defence ultimately killing Wolf's confidence. Selling high on Anderssen is good asset management but ultimately at some point down the road they'll need to house a championship defence core. Realistically they need to hit a home run on a centre and a defenceman in the next three or so drafts.

They may already have hit a home run on a defenceman with Parekh. The main thing he appears to be lacking at this point is physical maturity.

Gotta wonder what the cost for Wright would be. Hes falling behind the depth chart in Seattle, and now they added Catton. If the cost was less than a first Craig should be all over it

No way it's less than a 1st. He's only 20 and will be overvalued on trade market just because of his name.
