I will second that. I appreciate Sandman’s insight
I get a much better understanding of our prospects and their upside from Sandman, and find it augments and maybe balances some of the optimism and first impressions from CrazyBaconLegs on draft day

I do take umbrage at the notion that I'm "the best"

Yeah you are clearly the worst.
Now go back to your basement where you uncontrollably laugh at Boomer on After Burner.

Not defending Jung here, Sandman’s prospect evaluations are how I learn basically anything about a prospect, but let’s not overreact.

I generally agree with your posts, but Sandman wouldn't have quoted and called this guy out if he wasn't at least somewhat bothered by his post.
Everyone knows the surest way to tell someone is unbothered is when they go out of their way to quote everything said about them on the internet. I'd take Sandman over that re-hash 10 times out of 10, though.

A bunch of people here, including myself, thought Phillips had top 6 potential (woof). I also thought Dillon Dube was the next Brayden Point, oh and least I forget believing Tyler Parsons was the Flames future in net. List goes on. Lets not keep score about prospect predictions, especially if you’ve been on this site for 2 months.

Oh don't worry that poster has been on this site for much more than 2 months.
Don't know exactly which banned poster they are, but they are one for sure.

Nice ninja edit. His original text was " sorry, 9 out of 10 of your prospects fail or something like that"

A top-4 RD in his prime at $4.5 million (Rasmus) I feel like they would need to add a 1st or something to Iginla personally. Isn't it usually a 1st rounder and blue chip prospect for these kinds of players.

But these types of prospects also rarely get moved.
I see no scenario where Utah trades Iginla for Andersson frankly.
Remember teams tried to move up to get that pick and they wouldn't do it.

I can't see Andersson being traded this year, with the way that he's playing and how he's embraced his leadership responsibility. He's also having fun playing hockey, which is a big part of the culture that Conroy and Huska are working to instill in the younger players.
He's here long term unless the Flames fall off a cliff this year or next year he says he doesn't want to re-sign.
That's been Conroy's pattern with the core veterans. It's up to them on whether they get moved.

If the Flames are moving Andersson, I feel like they ask has to be similar to the Sergachev package. Especially if they retain any money on top of his already very affordable contract.
Conor Geekie (2022 11th OV pick)
Moser (top 4 dman that Utah should have kept who looks great with Hedman)
2025 2nd

Except Sergachev had 7 years of control to Anderssons 1.5~2 years

I think the acquiring team would probably have to feel like they could re-sign Andersson and then it's not really a factor.
If Sergachev was on some crazy valuable contract then probably it would be a bigger factor...but $8.5M seems pretty fair for him and I'd expect if Andersson is offered $8-$8.5M you're not going to have a hard time keeping him.
