Fack. That’s where I took my dad after we watched my mom do MAID. His favorite. Wasn’t good food but he loved it.

That was one of my favorite restaurants in the deep south growing up. But I moved to the inner city and then NW 20 years ago and haven't been back there since.

5mins earlier she was cracking jokes. He’s like “I wanna get the fata out of here, there’s a dead body in here”. That was quite a day.

Not sure if they have the 6 packs, they usually have the 710mL or larger (1L? 1.5L) bottles. I can't remember the price exactly but I want to say $1.50 or less for the 710mL and pretty sure the larger ones were less than $2. So probably not that much cheaper than Walmart.

Though often we just get a 24 pack of the smaller bottles from Walmart or Costco because they have the Lemon flavour in the pack.

What I really want is a place to buy the Lemon GZero in six packs by itself.

I'm 99% sure they have the six packs of the Lemon Lime ones at Wal-Mart. I usually buy the grape ones (just like Johnny G. did haha), that's my fave!

Hey what happened to the big bubble tent over EnCana field at Shouldice? I noticed a few months back that it was suddenly gone but did ever see anything about it going or why.

Oh dang. Guess this is more of a PSA now… and admission of poor observation skills?
Supposedly it’s a seasonal thing but I don’t remember it coming down last year. And it’s supposedly going back up in November.

^ It is seasonal, but the City is considering making it a year-round thing (to prevent the cost of putting it up and down). The main issue seems to be that it sits in the flood plain and... well... you can't have an inflatable bubble getting carried downstream when the next flood happens.

Crazy how that was considered the Deep South, lol.

I don't recall Mcleod and Anderson (avenida mall/lake bonavista area) ever being called the deep south, lol. I do remember when Shawnessy/Evergreen was referred to in that manner in the early 2000's.

I still considered anywhere south of Canyon Meadows the deep south, It's probably because of the steep hill and that MacLeod has no lights after that.

And do we consider Chinook central now?

How about the far north? Anywhere north of John Laurie/McKnight? Or maybe north of Country Hills

Zimmerman was the guy I remembered.

I went to a couple of games but can’t remember who we played. I do however recall that the Boomers beat Ipswich in a friendly.

McKnight /John Laurie are well into the far north.

The interior of the city stretches from McMahon/Market Mall/Foothills Hospital/Lougheed Hospital and south to Fish Creek. South of Fist Creek is the deep south. North of that line is the far north.

I have never heard anyone refer to Avenida as the deep south until a few posts ago.

Foothills Hospital is on 16 Ave NW and Market Mall you can say is around 40 Ave NW. While Fish Creek/Canyon Meadows is like 130 Ave SW.

Calling north of Market Mall the far north is a little too much? Maybe if you live in High River then Market Mall is pretty far north for you...

I used Google Maps to measure from the Google-defined "downtown commercial core" which was roughly the Devonian gardens straight south to Fish Creek. It was 8.2 miles. Straight north to McKnight was 3.4 miles.

That's not in any way shape or form a reasonable definition of far north/south. One is literally more than twice as far from downtown
