I kept wondering if that was a fake trailer since all the dialog lines are as trite and cliche as you could possibly make them like it was on purpose.

The whole thing feels more like a benchmark / tech demo than a real game. It looks and feels super generic.

Hopefully the game itself is really good, but so far I'm whelmed.

Something about that trailer / the character designs feels really cheap and unfinished to me. I'm not looking forward to it.

Yeah I would bet actual money that game will be trash.

Black Myth: Wukong put out a benchmark tool on Steam. Game looks really pretty but feels like the new Cyberpunk 2077; I get 44fps average on a 4090 at 4K with RTX Quality and DLSS quality. Oof.

Sierra made some classics of the 90s... Lords of the Realm II, Gabriel Knight, Betrayal at Krondor being the tops in my book. The Krondor series would be a good IP to reboot.

Played through the intro to Black Myth last night, and it seems like it may be worthy of some of the praise it is receiving - I'm intrigued by it. I'm excited to get home tonight and dive back into it.

How is Dying Light 2 compared to the first? I put off buying it hoping it would eventually be cheap or hit a free service, but neither has really happened yet.

The first one was a lot of fun.

I don't think I remember the first Dying Light to do a comparison sorry. Dying Light 2 definitely scratched the open world itch well and I found the parkor and combat pretty fun.

I think for the first time in my life I'm not eagerly anticipating a new Civ game. Just the thought of Civ VII makes me tired. I'm officially old.
