Lots of chatter around how you make room for Coronato and it likely won't happen but if they went with a younger more offensive / energy 4th line then I think you could do:
36:34 was Erik Karlsson in a regular season game with no OT. I can't find preseason.
That Vancouver/Flames game that started with a brawl and 2 Dmen from each side being tossed is probably up there for season. Yeah I couldn't find anything for preseason either.

I wonder if there would be any interest in Rooney as a 4th liner in a trade or on Waivers.
If someone bullies their way onto the team, you make room. It's supposed to be a meritocracy. Further to that point, I don't think Pelletier has done anything so far that would indicate he's anywhere near NHL level.
It's early, but both Coronato and Klapka have shown quite a bit more in the first few games than any other forward prospect.
If Coronato keeps this up, and I hope he does, he's making the team as a top9 forward. Like many who have followed him before, playing with Backlund and Coleman will do wonders for his development. Also, promoting Zary to the 2nd line and putting him with some big time talent should also do wonders for his game as well.
My thoughts too, it's just poor coaching. Why are you trying to win when you should be trying to evaluate other guys?
Once it was 4-0 I would have given the top guys the night off and tried to see what the others can do, but as usual in Edmonton they care more about optics and looking goof than competently running a franchise.

Oilers won’t get another preseason championship banner with that attitude.

Was is excellent, and expected, is the TSN highlights from these games showed Hyman and McD's goals, and one of the Flames from both games. Noted Connor had a goal and an assist.
Good stuff
Flames are really getting the Ottawa-west treatment, aren't they.
Basha was 2nd, Makar 4th and Jake Sanderson 9th (even if we concede the latter 2 are Dmen) on their team scoring in their first year Bantam 'AA'
useful reminder, even here in YYC for parents who might fret if their child isn't AAA or bust from their first year in a program
He should have made that Bantam AAA first year, he'd have been a top producer, but it worked out. Was that the one variable of a thousand that did it, probably not, but maybe.

Sanderson also could have gone AAA in first year Bantam but a pretty wise decision, partially family informed as I understand it, to let him grow ( I suppose literally and figuratively) in AA. never a bad thing!
My kid is in an introductory hockey skills program at WinSport, and there are already parents chattering like their kid is doomed/destined. It's wild.
You would be surprised that some of those kids do it. I know its gross to believe the trope that not letting your kid take the summer off doesn't work but.... There are probably less than three players in the NHL that did not play a significant amount of extracurricular spring/summer hockey. Other sports don't hurt but only in parallel.
If you see any player with clips at the Brick Tournament, that means his parents were intense hockey parents and that player has played an insane amount of hockey. i.e. Johnny G.

...and 100% that don't, do not make it. It's a terrible investment decision considering the likelihood for sure....aside from freakshows. It's easily a massive waste of money mostly, but not for those kids.
