It doesn't seem like it is quite bad enough to completely force him to resign.

When added to all the other crap, he won't get more votes than whatever the floor is of people who will vote for R no matter what.

This should be a pretty big development for the Presidential race as Harris is definitely a favorite to take NC now.

What a garbage human being. Didn't he speak at the most recent RNC?
He also said that he wants to go back to the time when women didn't vote. It's a silly out of context quote because he was talking about back when there was a real Republican party, but still, harkening back to the good old days before suffrage is pretty ####ing out there.

Is he just saying this stuff to sound extreme and get his name out there? Or does he actually believe this ####? Because if he believes it he should be in those mental asylums Trump keeps talking about.

Hardcore evangelical/baptist christian. He believes every word of what he says. Literally thinks the world has gone to hell and is on his own righteous crusade ordained by god. That's the problem.

The twisted reality of the modern Republican.

All the heinous stuff he has said publicly gets a pass.

But, conservatives can't support someone who watches porn.

Watching porn? Good God no. You can't have a candidate that watches porn. What kind if a country would they be?!

Now, if he candidate cheated on his wife, who just gave birth to their son, by banging a pornstar... now that's a different story and perfectly acceptable.

North Carolina resident checking in here. Good lord, what a 48 hours its been. There is a big sense here that the state will go blue with Harris, Stein and Jeff Jackson (Attorney General). Bottom line, the Robinson stuff is ugly, and I'm happy that it's making the national rounds, I mean, hell, here I am on CPuck talking NC politics.

Twitter is worthwhile just for people such as Daniel Dale. I’d call him an American hero but he’s Canadian.

The first step in handing the election to Trump regardless of the vote has been made

Daniel Dale is doing great work. Too bad he's basically shouting into the void.

Oh man, this is gonna be a disaster. If it's looking like Harris might be the winner, they'll probably refuse to certify, and it'll turn into months of recounts, lawsuits, appeals, etc.. They'll likely have to delay the inauguration at that point until everything gets settled.

Of course if it's looking like a Trump win, they'll certify immediately.

Forget about Trump...100% focus should be getting people to the polls. Nobody is gonna be swayed at this point

none of that is surprising. January 6 failed because it was sloppy, but they will try again for sure and now they've had a couple of years to plan it. I have no doubt they will do everything they can to overturn a loss, because that's what pathetic losers do. Unless it's a blowout for Harris, it's going to be a ####show.

Of course if it's looking like a Trump win, they'll certify immediately.

Can they delay inauguration or does failure to certify by set date automatically throw it back to the states to vote? I understood it to be the latter, which given the larger number of republican controlled states means they would elect Trump regardless of the popular vote. Many states have pledged to respect the popular vote in that case, but I’m assuming they are all democratic states.

Can anyone confirm this scenario?

people got all worried about what Trump would do after he lost in 2016, as likely as some shenanigans are I would cross that bridge when we get there. I mean we can talk about it but the campaign needs to focus.

Not sure what that means but are you saying his work achieves nothing?
