You said they weren't far apart in terms of factual accuracy. That's what you're being challenged on.

The bloodbath thing is funny to me. Whether it was meant in reference to economics is fairly irrelevant. Bloodbath is violent terminology, and it really doesn't belong in the rhetoric, period. Especially when it comes out of the mouth of a narcissistic, sociopathic megalomaniac trying to lead the free world.

Harris didn't outright lie like Trump did (and always has), but she did bend and play with the truth on more than a few occasions. If you're looking for a zero sum measure on dishonesty I would look elsewhere when it comes to politics.

The sheer number of False and Pants On Fires from Trump vs the handful of Half Truth's, Falses and Mostly Falses from Harris are pretty indicative of how far apart they were.

I agree with you and you're correct that many challenged Prince on his view that Harris and Trump not being far apart in terms of lies during the debate (I was among this group), but Prince's post above was in response to another poster who said that Harris "may have got a couple of facts wrong", which they forgive, and Prince provided 7 examples to show that it wasn't a couple. I thought it was a fair response to the "couple of facts wrong" statement.

But that's exactly what I'm saying here. I don't care what Trump says because I know everything out of his mouth is BS. This isn't a zero sum measure. That doesn't excuse Kamala. This is about holding our politicians accountable.

In my opinion, candidates always use subjective angles to promote their perspectives. Putting twists on things isn't specifically a left or right thing, or a Democrat-Republican thing. They all do do it. The difference is how Trump Republicans flat out make up wild sensational stuff that have no basis in reality. Things like; "they are going to take your guns", "they are going to execute babies after they are born", and "immigrants are eating people's pets". Surely people can tell the difference between things like that and Harris angling facts about having job and economic growth during her vice presidency without mentioning the backdrop of the pandemic (which I think is a fair point, and Trump should have challenged that more, but didn't). Can Harris be criticized for some things, certainly. She is a politician not above criticism just like every politician who has ever lived.

I wish the Democrats could go into a debate and do exactly what Trump does so people who support him could see just how stupid he looks. Say things like, "they want to make it law to put guns in the hands of school children", or "Republicans want to force all women to get pregnant against their will".

Because that is the kind of stuff Trump does.

The problem for me is...Trump acts insane all the time. His supporters lap it up like Oliver Twist and his gruel. So more minutes and more insanity work in his favour and Harris only did okay.

Honestly though, I've Judged Jr. High debaters better than both of them. She was a Lawyer? And that was the best she could do?

They were bad and they should feel bad for debating so badly. That whole thing was a joke.

For the next debate they should put each of them in those Sumo Fat-suits and make them wrestle!

It'd be far more entertaining and significantly more informative.

How am I holding one side far more accountable when I'm telling you the other side is irrelevant. Nothing he says is coherent enough to actually need to hold accountable, and it doesn't at all sway my views on how abhorrent he is.

Would it make you happier if I also made a list of all of Trump's BS?

This is like me making a list of all of the Flames' issues, but then people getting mad because I'm not holding the Oilers accountable. That doesn't make any sense.

That is how Trump keeps getting a pass. He says migrants are eating pets and that doctors are murdering babies and all of Prince's examples were typical politician BS. Equivocating the two deserves push back.
